  1. Yes - It is self defense. Scripture permits killing of the fetus so that the mother may live.

    Honestly, this wouldn't even be an issue if modern medicine looked towards finding ways to actually solve this medical problem. Ie. Moving the baby from the fallopian tube and implanting it back into the uterus.

    I mean, we can implant human hearts from one person to another, this could be feasible. I don't think anyone has even attempted this procedure before, wouldn't it be worth trying to save both mother and baby?
