    The numbers of the people returning are the same in many other versions, not just the KJV. Many, MANY versions give the figure of 42360. Therefore, the explanation given by the gent who started the other thread about these two chapters must be applied to all versions whose numbers agree.

    It's not just a matter of KJV error or not; it's a matter of accuracy for every version which has the same numbers.
