I voted Calvinism, although I'm not 100% sure about my convictions.

Anything less than all things being reconciled into the Lord Jesus Christ is "another" gospel.

    Other :

    God has called everyone.

    Acts 17
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

    Only the elect will come:

    John 10
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

As in Martin Luther's views on soteriology? Because the Lutheran church doesn't seem to follow them anymore, as far as I can tell.

As in Martin Luther's views on soteriology?

Yes, per the Augsburg Confession, the Apology to the Augsburg Confession, and his personnel writings: Bondage of the Will, the Smalcald Articles, the Small and Large Catechisms.

Because the Lutheran church doesn't seem to follow them anymore, as far as I can tell.

The only doctrinal statement of the Lutheran Church that Luther did not write or approve during his lifetime is the Formula of Concord, 1580. The Formula agrees with all of Luther's public confessions.

I sit corrected, then. I think I judged too quickly based on what I recall from talking to a Lutheran pastor.

As a presbyterian elder who currently happens to be an SBC member, I am pleasently surprised at the current results. ;)

I was wondering if anyone would explain their vote for this...

Because you have a multiple personality disorder?

I have a feeling that alot of people who vote Calvinist are really "4 point" Arminians who believe in "Eternal Security" which bears little resemblance to "Perseverance". I have seen it to much on my short life on this board!

    Just a thought,
    what do you think?
