actually, I have just re-read this thread and fail to see why you are calling me anti-american.

where have I made any slurs at all against your country? I simply gave my opinion (which appears to be the same as the supreme court, congress & the presidents) that the founding fathers intended there to be a seperation of church and state when founding your country.

how does this make me anti-american?

why does this make me jealous and what of?

I am stunned by this - I would expect to read comments like this on a KKK site or something - It is unreal to suggest that, in general, all members of the worlds second largest religion are racist and hatefilled.

To argue that no moslem has ever contributed anything to American society is just, I struggle to find the words, it is just so untrue and so racist.

where have I said that I hate america?

who is your closest ally that stands 'shoulder to shoulder' with you?

Anyhow, I see no need for the tone of your post or your name calling, I am just trying to have a discussion, that is all.

My previous post was getting kind of long, so I'm breaking it up into two posts.

I guess my point for bringing up the Texas v Johnson, members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA (1989) is to show much our current society has distanced itself from our heritage as a country. This sort of anti-patriotism would not have been tolerated even fifty years ago. There are those in this society (sorry, but the communist party and the ACLU are some of them) who would allow free access to drugs (I'm not talking prescription), free access to porn (yes, even children could access)and all sorts of depravations in the name of liberty and freedom.
In my humble opinion, the goal of the Texas v Johnson, members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA is about undermining our country and government.

The following is just touching lightly on the subject so as to not take up to much space:

First please note that the Library of Congress, which houses our rare books (many one of a kind) and important documents is considered exempt from the Freedom of Information Act. These are some of the books which are not longer available to researchers, scholars, public and are either "missing in inventory" moved to the rare books. (By the way, these are the ones that were removed around 1980-1990)

Books pertaining to the true account of the 1620 Pilgrims at Plimouth Plantation (If you would like the list I'll e-mail it)

In another shelf section, this time on the reformation and its exposes of popism and counterfeits to Christianity...the same thing...gone (I'll e-mail the list is you want it)

Many of Washington's and Jefferson's personal Bibles and books collections are missing...

YET...there is a Playboy index that has been brazenly classified as part of America's Library of Congress Rare Book Collection!! Go figure.

I could go on and on, but you get my drift....if you want more info, I can e-mail you.

This is truly a bee in my bonnet because most people don't even realize what is taking place.

In 1990, the exhibit hall of the Library of Congress reopened after "renovations". These walls, that were since 1897 adorned with godly designs have been repainted with rows and rows of clownish, gargoyle-type heads. I don't know why they couldn't have repainted the originals and kept the design intact.

Another alarming trend has been the information plaques and brochures at historic sites. The change over the last 20 years (particulary 10) is...well....alarming!

You have not convinced me. You never quote scripture, you only post on fluff threads and defend trolls.

What is your username on the II board?

You don't get it, do you? It's not the rules of this forum that people have to quote scripture. It's a natural tendency of every born-again believer, conservative or liberal. The difference between conservative and liberal Baptists is their interpretation of the scriptures.

Below please find an excellent example. You not only defend a troll, you even know what it's all about, where the initial post was posted, by whom, etc. even though no link was provided on the thread. You don't seem to be the smartest troll. You make it too easy for us.

Good bye. Unfortunately, I can't say that your posts were of any value to our members, so I'd be lying if I said that we'll miss you.

And i'd be lyeing if I said i'd miss this board. But before i go let me destroy your claims.

    1) while i know it is almost an automatic for us to quote scrtipture, i have not seen any instance where i need to before it ahas already been said or none applies. plus, i dont have very many posts to my name. had i got about 100, even 50 you you definately see posts with His word written within. now, an impossibleity, thank you.

    2) a troll is someone who comes looking to make trouble. an athist on their own board is not a troll. SheEagle was quoteing an atheist from II, therefore, is not a troll. and i wasn't defening him/her, i was pointing out what was unsound in her argument. I, as well as many others from this board (liek you) lurk at II time to time and i read the trhead in question thankyou very much.

    3) your attitude makes me wonder if YOU relaly are a Christian as you say you are, or just looksing to make trouble for those that dont fit your Aryan definaitoin of a born argain baptist (they must be conservative, ect).

thank you and good bye. im sure there are some fine men and women of Christ here, but unfortunately most are, includeing you, have shown you are not.

    Depuis sigining off

Just to clarify a few things:

1.) I did not quote Kind Bud or anyone else from any other board - I quoted one of our members (Depuis1919) and his post on this forum.
2.) I did not quote anyone out of context, I quoted Depuis1919's entire post

This is just simply not true. Kind Bud, I NEVER quoted you. And I never quoted you out of context.

So will you be kind enough to correct your statement on that other board? [IMG]

It's too bad this topic got lost in the all the drivle and bickering :(

As to the original topic, the ACLU will continue to try to remove the 10 Commandments from public sight. What's scary are the other organizations who have a similar agenda and have already accomplished much without making noise.
