‘After three days’

Markus 14:28
Maar met my opstanding gaan Ek voor julle uit na Galilea.
ἀλλὰ μετὰ τὸ ἐγερθῆναί με προάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν.

“But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.”

Matteus 26:32
maar met my opstanding gaan Ek voor julle uit na Galilea.
μετὰ δὲ τὸ ἐγερθῆναί με προάξω ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν.

“But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.”

“With my rising / In that I rise”, I will have passed over the Jordan “into Galilee”—
I will have finished My Suffering and will have “entered into My Own Rest as God in his own”.

Christ the Galilean— is the New Testament Joshua who leads his People over the Jordan, the Saviour of his people, the Moses of the New Testament whose followers follow Him over the Red Sea into the Land of God’s Promise.

Jesus had “prepared a place for you” as He promised his disciples at the Last Supper. Now they may sit on at his table in his own Kingdom as his Father had appointed and covenanted Him his Own Kingdom— “The Kingdom of God’s Beloved Son”.

The meaning of the Preposition ‘meta’, is, “with occasion of accomplishment”.

It is an important, but neglected meaning.
Viz., Matteus 27: 53
en toe hulle uit die grafte uitgegaan het met sy opstanding,
καὶ ἐξελθόντες ἐκ τῶν μνημείων, μετὰ τὴν ἔγερσιν αὐτοῦ

“And they came out of the graves”—not “after”, but “WITH”, and “AT his rising” / “AS he was rising.”

"In three days' time I shall rise!"

Therefore undoubtedly and incontrovertibly, ‘μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας’ in Matteus 28:63 and Mark 8:31 means: “IN, THREE, days”—no different than in all the other places that the “three days” are mentioned “in” which, Jesus “on the third day” of them, would rise from the dead, “according to the Scriptures”!—the Old Testament and PASSOVER, Scriptures!

The IDIOM: μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἐγείρομαι, “After three days...”
=
“The third day I shall rise” = “Three days and I shall rise”;
“In the third day I shall rise” = “In three days I shall rise”;
“With the third day I shall rise” = “With three days I shall rise”;
“By the third day I shall rise” = “By three days I shall rise”...
Therefore: μετὰ τρεῖς ἡμέρας ἐγείρομαι, “After three days...”
=“On the third day I shall rise”.
