With one slight difference... The recount was allowed in this contest...

Democrats make a habit of stealing elections.

A typical right-wing talking point with no substance in reality.

They are clearly stealing this one.

    Yeah, right.

What I would like to see in cases like this where the election is, in essence, a tie - especially when no candidate wins a majority of the vote - to hold another election between the top two candidates.

You can look at this without bias, and realize Al Franken is playing some dirty tricks in this. I know yer still clinging to the "Bush stole 2 elections" hooey,

But if the people allow him to steal their election, then they deserve to be represented by this partisan hack atheist liar. I don't care, either way. But don't tell me he's not stealing this.

Al, just remember what your alter ego, Stuart Smalley, would tell you.
You're good enough, you're smart enough, and doggone it, people like you!

What dirty tricks is Franken playing? They are counting ballots that were cast on 11/4 and Franken isn't in the room. What is he doing wrong? Challenging some that were rejected? Coleman has done the same???

    It's been documented.

They make a habit of it.

I've made a decision that I will not engage purposeful ignorance, anymore. If you don't want to believe it, don't, but I'm not going to re-post anything.

LB, let me explain. Challenging rejected votes is only allowed under the NeoCon rules if you are a Republican. Democrats do not have that right. They believe any dirty trick, any distortion, any outright untruth, is justified; but only when perpetrated by the Republican party.

Neither party is as pure as the driven snow, in fact neither is as pure as roadside slush. However, it's the GOPs time to act like a bunch of whining babies. I am getting a good laugh at the reaction of the GOP alliance made up of the ignorant, the uneducated, racists, the corporate maniuplators, neoNazis, John Birchers, the religious nuts, and the plain deluded going crazy over the election of our 44th President. This is not to broad brush all conservatives or Republicans as being in the above groups. However, I don't believe it is the mainstream of the GOP doing all the whining. I still have to believe there are good, decent, Americans who, while disagreeing with the stated policies of the incoming administration, are willing to accept the outcome of this election, give the new President a fair chance to lead us out of the morass in which we find ourselves, and are willing to vigorously work to replace him in four years if he fails to meet their expectations. These are the people who truly put "America First" over partisan agendas.

The thing that makes this difficult, is that there is no good guy here.

Coleman is a jerk, and that is well-documented.

Franken is a pervert, and that is well-documented.

Thing is, Franken wants to "count every ballot"--including ballots that are marked for two candidates. Hey, if you aren't bright enough to vote properly (and don't ask for a new ballot), then that ballot is void. End of case.

Agreed... It takes a real wing nut to mark a candidate then write in a name like Sammy the lizard. That person wasn't taking voting serious and deserves to have their vote discarded.

However, it isn't fair to say Franken wants to count every ballot when Coleman is fighting to have more ballots reinstated then Franken. The one in your OP Coleman is correct and it should be counted but I am sure there are these type votes for both camps.

Secondly, Colman doesn't want the absentee ballots counted which was a topic we discussed when McCain fought to have the military absentee ballots from VA counted. I think we all agreed if the ballot is legal then it should be counted. MN state law gives four reasons to reject an absentee ballot. However, there are 1600 ballots rejected for a reason other than the four listed by law.

I would think both Franken and Colemen were sincere in wanting to represent their constituents they would want the rejection decision reviewed. If you just want to win the election then I guess you'd do like Coleman and insist on not counting 1600 ballots that were rejected for reasons not in the rules. The point is, was it a legal and fair rejection.

Don't mistake my post as a defense for Franken cuz they can just flip a coin for all I care, I would have voted "none of the above".

I have to agree with this since Obama is at a 78% approval rating. He only got 53% of the vote so some from the right must approve so far.

Not sure, I guess his cabinet picks...

Many of the 20% that disapprove blame him for the economy and know already he will fail and he has yet to get the keys from Bush. So it's hard to know what people are thinking when they answer these polls...
