I'd rather you use the quote function properly, and not make it appear something I said is coming from you.

Life begins at conception, and ends at death. What part of this is wrong ?

If you review the OP you will see that I said this thread is not about when life begins. So you are off topic.

I am concerned and thinking about the philosophical aspects of life and being alive. I am interested in rational, intelligent comments or questions concerning this. It is not a simple subject.

Sigh…if you look at this thread, I make no differentiation between life, and being alive. Why do you ?

What is the difference between life, and being alive ?

I do not think it is up to me to judge another's "life", and make a pronouncement on whether that person is "alive" or not ? Why do you ?

If their is conception, but not yet expiration, the person has life, and is alive.

    Who is authoring confusion ?

OK, let's just use the word life.

Your discussion is too narrow and this is not about when life begins. You are speaking only of human life. I am speaking about life in general, philosophically.

I believe there are many types of life, animal, plant and life of some organisms that people are not quite sure just what they are, i.e. slime mold. It used to be classified as fungi, but are not so labeled now.

So, what is life. It cannot be restricted to being aware, at least not as we humans are aware. Just what is life?

We know from the Bible that seeds are alive as scripture says the seed must die for the plant to germinate and live. So, again, just what is life?

Of course seeds are alive. They have been conceived. Pollinated. Or whatever. They are alive, and ready to grow. I have established that. No confusion. The seed destroys itself, and becomes something else.
    It is alive.

But you, for some reason, connote tell us when "life" begins, or what constitutes being "alive".

Tell me, what does being alive mean to you ? Why do you need other's input to answer this ?

I find your "purpose" for this thread highly dubious, based on your refusal to participate.
