All in the Family

I used to watch reruns of this show every evening with my mom and dad when I was a boy. They loved this show. I have fond memories of that time and because of that whenever I see this show on, I always stop and watch.

Without a doubt, IMO Edith made this show.

I didn't like the show or any of the characters and dislike it even more, now. I can see why some people would find it funny but to me it wasn't appealing.

 

It also opened the flood gates of what was to come for broadcast TV. I also didn't like it for the very same reasons Alex has posted. :thumbs:

I think Meathead is something of a meathead, his reasons for being an atheist display a great amount of ignorance and arrogance. Gloria just gets on my nerves. Edith seems like a sweet old lady, but she lets Archie push her around too much. I hated the episode where Edith died. I felt so sorry for poor Archie.

*I am not using the term innocent in a theological way.
