With all of the latinos in MLB now, I am surprised that there has not been a starting all-latino infield until this upcoming season. The Tigers with Guillen, Polanco, Renteria, and Cabrera will be the first all latino infield in MLB according to baseball-reference.com. You knew it would happen some time.

    ¡Vamos Los Tigres de Detroit! ¡Dale! ¡Dale! ¡Dale!

I think it is great! Baseball is very big in Mexico. I know that once we flew into an airport in Mexico and every little village we flew over had a baseball diamond in it!

There are some who would disagree. I'm not one, but there are many who would. For instance, Gary Sheffield has said that MLB wants less blacks and more latin players because the former are not as submissive as the latter. The MLB is desperately trying to recruit African Americans to the game. Maybe someday the anti-Latin bias in the MLB that many perceive will erode, and to these, maybe this all Hispanic infield is a first step.

The Marlins were close a few years ago when they won the pennant --

    Rodriguez at Catcher
    Lowell at 3rd
    Gonzalez at Short
    Castillo at Second
    but
    Derrick Lee at first

Also, the outfield included Cabrera and Encarnacion.

I don't mind the immigrants (Asians or Latinos) what I do mind is the fact that each player needs another person there to translate for them and interpret what the player is saying. That would make for a rather crowded dug out.
