    Almost Aborted
    Tim Tebow, quarterback for the University of Florida, became the first sophomore in history to win the coveted Heisman Trophy as the best college football player in the country. With 29 passing touchdowns and 22 rushing touchdowns, Tebow displayed the kind of versatility and athleticism for which every football coach prays. However, if doctors had had it their way, Tebow wouldn't be here today, according to the Gainesville Sun and lifenews.com.

    Pam Tebow and her husband Bob were Christian missionaries in the Philippines in 1985 and they prayed for their child even before Pam became pregnant. When she did, she contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. As a result, Pam entered into a coma.

    The treatment for the medical condition required strong medications which would cause irreversible damage to her unborn son and leave him with devastating disabilities. Doctors advised her to have an abortion.

    Pam Tebow refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted. She ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and, eventually, gave birth to a completely healthy baby in August 1987.

    "The combination of Timmy's God-given talent, hard work, character and leadership have made a mark on and off the football field," said Pam.

    Former New York Giant Chris Godfrey shudders to think of the millions of Tim Tebows who aren't here today. "You just have to wonder how many good things did not come into our world because of our unwillingness to say 'Yes' and to trust in God," he said.

    "Of the 49 million who never lived to realize their potential, imagine the number of future leaders, inventors, doctors — and, yes, even Heisman Trophy winners — among them," said Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. "[We] pray that [Tebow's story] helps persuade other w

    I found it on another forum. I am not sure who the original source is.

    You can certainly see the hand of God all through that.

    The life of Tim Tebow's will be a witness to Christian and unbeliever alike and if this nation does not soon repent of the slaying of the innocent it will see judgment such as this nation has not seen. This nation was judged for its support of slavery and our Forefathers saw that the slavery issue was an issue that needed to be addressed but did nothing about it. Then 87 years later this nation was bathed in blood.

    The Price in Blood!
    Casualties in the Civil War

    At least 618,000 Americans died in the Civil War, and some experts say the toll reached 700,000. The number that is most often quoted is 620,000. At any rate, these casualties exceed the nation's loss in all its other wars, from the Revolution through Vietnam.

    Untold are the slaves who perished from the colonization of America (1492) until 1865. 370+ years of history of the slave trade. I am sure that the numbers are very high.

    A lot of blood was spilled because the majority of people turned their backs on the innocent and those in power were unwilling to stand and do what was right and end it.

    Now according to some estimates 6 to 9 million Jews were executed at the hands of Nazi Germany and as many as 42 million soldiers and citizens during the years of WWII 1939-1945.

    Need I mention the deaths at the hands of Joseph Stalin, http://www.moreorless.au.com/killers/stalin.html or;
    Mao Tse-Tung http://www.moreorless.au.com/killers/mao.html

    Again, A lot of blood was spilled because the majority of people turned their backs on the innocent and those in power were unwilling to stand and do what was right and end it.

    Sense 1973 49 million children have not seen the light of day. That's 49,000,000 souls sent into the arms of Christ. 49 million innocent lives with 49 million outcomes for national benefit. :tear:

    America is now on the top of the heap of nations that have shed innocent blood. With us no one man has over saw the out right murder of these children. As it was with the American Civil War so it is today. The American People are the persons in charge and the populace of this great nation has blood on it's hands. Just as Hitler, Stalin, Mao; et, al had bloodied hands so do we.

    I call on all that are Born Again Believers of Jesus Christ to take a stand and call this nation to repentance before it is too late. This nation needs a voice that is calling out to it from God's Holy Word and the Church is that voice and if it remains silent the blood bath will be astonishing. No one wants blood shed but that is what history shows us if that nation does not protect the innocent.

    Please let us not be like the majority of people of the past who turned their backs on the innocent or like those in power who were unwilling to stand and do what was right and end it. Speak with your vote and speak in your communities and speak to your Judges and to your Representatives and lets end the killing fields in the mother's womb now.

    Some verses regarding the shedding of innocent blood;

    Exodus 23:7
    7Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

    Deuteronomy 19:10
    10That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

    Deuteronomy 21:8&9
    8Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
    9So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

    Deuteronomy 27:25&26
    25Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.
    26Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

    2 Kings 24:3-5
    3Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
    4And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.
    5Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

    Psalm 94
    20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
    21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
    22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.
    23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

    Psalm 106:37-40
    37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
    38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
    39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
    40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.

    Isaiah 59
    1Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. 5They hatch cockatrice’ eggs, and weave the spider’s web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. 6Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. 7Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. 8The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

    Joel 3:19
    19Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

    All are directed at Israel but there is plenty of indications that God does not wink at other nations that have shed innocent blood and history tells the tale of His wrath upon those nations.
