I will be turning 16 in October thus I will be trying for my license. Are there
any tricks that the person who will be testing me have up his/her sleave that
I need to be aware of? Any advice on what to do or NOT do? Would it be better to take the test in a small community or a large town? Do I need to take the written test again? (I took it for my permit)
I just wanna be prepared

    I turned 45 today.....I don't even remember 16! :tongue3:

State regulations for driver's tests can differ but here is what I would try to keep in mind. And these are things that in Louisiana, they do not stop you and remind you during the test, they just take off points for you for not heeding it in the first place.
    • buckle your seatbelt before you crank the car up
    • adjust the mirror before you crank the car up
    • do not fool with the a/c, radio, cd player,.....etc......have the music turned off and the a/c adusted before you go to the driver's license bureau
    • keep both hands on the steering wheel
    • use your blinkers to signify every turn
    • come to a complete stop at stop signs even if nothing is coming for 57 miles!
    Good luck!!

Thank you! Some of that stuff I never even thought to do. The mirror check and the complete stop is going to be a challenge! :D
