America's Descent into the Third World

The Bush administration's push for CAFTA will move us one step closer to ruin, and speed us along in this descent into the "Third World".

I guess it's okay if we ruin our own country as long as we can set up a new Islamic state in the Middle East.

 

Perhaps if the American worker were willing to work for the same wage as imported labor. But it seems to me the American worker would rather make no money than less money. That's not to say US firms are innocent, cu they ain't. But the American worker is hardly sinless here.

Of course, we do all know that the story in the OP is not a news story, don't we?

 

As long as I can continue supporting my family I'll do manual labor work the rest of my life. Being a Teamster isn't all that bad.

I just read we lost over 100,000 jobs and for
those who like to purvey good news that the
unemployment rate is low..guess what their are
jobs out their, very low paying jobs. People at
Kodak, HP, and soon Ford majority of them will
not find equal paying jobs..it really is a race
to the bottom.

Warning: If when you lose the middle class in this
country or it is under tremendous stress you lose
a key population that plays by the rules, pays
its tithes, reaches out to the poor. Now that's
a moral outrage!

And what Ross Perot more than a decade a go "That
giant sucking sound you hear......." is correct
only it is real and accelerated, our wealth
and dignity is going off our shores...that is
real treason!

Of course China and India want to buy American
companies they are flooded with American wealth
and they will have their cyclones on full bore to
suck em up...people can be bought in this country
it is called greed and to blue blazes with the
rest.

For this to segue back to the topic, I am just
pointing out how people can hold out and even
vote against American interests when they have
been bought and paid for and been compromised
by a well orchestrated espionage campaign..and
we wonder why congress keep their vote secret
or change their vote until the very last moment.

It has a wunder lust of sell out because the
culture has it ingrained into their head they
will not be held accountable ..and sadly
they are right.

and our executive branch is the 1000 lb gorilla
in the room wanting pure carte blanche over our
trade agreement..it is time to stop the madness.

Most of those who ask this question always, always, fail to distinguish between legal imported labor and illegal imported labor.

Seems a lot of em had car trouble and broke down in Southwest Ohio, and here they stayed.

 

Well, Marion County (Indianapolis) is broke but then we have to pay tribute to the Indianapolis Colts to stay here. The Mexicans in my neighborhood don't want to assimilate. They put Spanish all over their cars and houses and fly the Mexican flag everywhere.

Rivers, I think that they are a net loss because of their need for free medicine, free education, and extensive policing. I am surprised that they stay in the Middle West, but when this housing boom is over, Hispanics may drift to the more prosperous East Coast and West Coast. Some of them are pure Indians and don't even speak Spanish. I don't mind the legal ones but I think that the illegal ones should be encouraged to go home.

 

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time you were in New York City or Newark New Jersey or even Manchester New Hampshire CMG? I've been on construction jobs in these cities where if your not at least trilingual you'll never understand the jokes at coffee time and it's been like that for a long long time. No one would notice the difference out here if there was an illegal invasion to the 10th power. It isn't PC to ask for green cards either.

 

¡Gracias a Dios, I have never been to any of those places, Poncho! Eastern prosperity may attract Midwestern illegals as time goes by. We can track our invasion specifically because it is very recent. Unfortunately, our economy in Indianapolis itself is stagnant; although once you get outside the county that Indianapolis is in, the economy is better. They are putting up billboards on all the interstates that read, "Will the last one out of Indianapolis, please turn out the lights?"
