ACE schools. Spelling is the weeeekest point. But kids learn to read the KJV English in Kindergarten.

Can't blame my hands on MOST of my spelling errors. I just type slower than my brain thinks.

Or often WITHOUT the brain functioning at all .. .:type:

    Two words. Spell Check. :D

    [ctrl-a]-selects all
[ctrl-x]-cuts text and places it in your Windows clipboard
    Open Word for Windows
[ctrl-v]-pastes text into Word for Windows
    Do a Spell Check
    [ctrl-a]-selects all
[ctrl-x]-cuts text and places it in your Windows clipboard
    [alt-tab]-switches back to BB
[ctrl-v]-pastes spell checked text into post.

Even senile old guys like us can do it!

Any one that says "Holy Bible King James Version" on the cover.

Why not? Hebrew is vastly different from Koine Greek; both are vastly different from English. Not only do I TRUST GOD to have conveyed His word in Elizabethan English to the people of 400 years ago ; I trust Him to have conveyed it to us in OUR language.

    Go for it.

In what language? Most likely the one you use every day.

But SFiC, by saying this you condemn the very men who translated the AV.
They diligently searched the 1611 KJV First Edition upon publication looking for errors. Guess what? They found them just as you say.

However they did it to make it even more perfect than before.

That tradition was carried on for several centuries by those CoE men who wanted the KJV to be the very best English translation available.
In this they did the honorable thing.

What you view as a flaw (a "discredit") is one of the KJV strengths, it's history of corrections.

The corrections or revisions in the text of the KJV continued until at least after 1880 in the Oxford editions of the KJV and until at least the early 1900's [1931] in the Cambridge editions of the KJV.
