I guess I shouldn't expect a response from him on my questions.

It is probably best you get to know folks better before making posts like this. You may just be missing some info you need.

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but...
Were you actually able to type that with a straight face, evan?

What you said there could be easily turned and said to you and still carry the same meaning.

Thanks. I am trying to post here less and read more. Reading my bible in a year and also a ton of books by reformed authors do read, on top of my street evangelism and letter writing efforts.

These people get the best of me and then I start to post rabbits and say they have as much sense as a goat and so forth.

Yes to all of the above.

Above all I would say bad open air preaching is "preaching" that ignores the gospel or misrepresents it. Sadly the open air preaching community is full of all of the above and have given a bad name to a legitimate and ancient method of sharing the gospel.

I do not believe I am in that category but correct me if I am wrong. NOTE- I added some people to my ignore list so I do not see their garbage when they reply so I should not be tempted to get sarcastic.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that you are doing it in a bad way. Sorry about that.
I actually haven't listened to your preaching at all. I was simply pointing out that some here may react strongly against the practice because all they know of it is the bad examples.

And they react strongly also against those that write letters to false teachers in either an attempt to evangelize them or to condemn them. They only know negative examples and see no need to witness to the lost.

If you think this is bad, stay well away from the Calvinism/Arminianism debate section...

I wouldn't do that either. I see no biblical precedent for it, nor any good that will come of it. Most false teachers will not repent, instead your focus should be on evangelizing those under them somehow.

Don't say that. You don't know who witnesses or how often.

I think you tend to see things from a skewed perspective. I'm all against the "drive by shooting" style you employ sometimes, even tried helping you by editing some of your letters before you sent them.

Much can be said for understanding how your words will be received. There are two sides in communication, and each party has a responsibility

You are connecting people's aversion to your particular evangelism methods to their not witnessing at all.

Is it your way or no way? That's the impression you give all the time.

You've made a very faulty connection there, brother.

I wonder what Jeremiah thought about how his words would be received after chapter 23?

Did you also sell all that you have and share it with other believers?
