The world will revert back to Edenic rules - vegetarians all! (get used to it). Even lions will eat straw like a cow.

There will be NO bloodshed for trivial things (ie, steak dinner)

The ONLY blood will be the Temple sacrifices, picturing in detail the sacrifice of Jesus.

Just as in Eden A&E had never seen bloodshed and were struck with the imagery of bloody skins, so a new people will be raised not knowing bloodshed except the sacrifice in the Temple. Great teaching truth.

Thanks Dr. Bob. I have been saved for 35 years and only recently heard of animal sacrifices re-emerging during the millenium. It really threw me back. Through study and talking to people like yourself I have been enlightened. Thanks again!!

I keep telling people that and that I'm more prepared than they are since I am vegetarian now. But they make fun of me and say stuff like, "It won't be heaven without steak."

    So thanks, Dr. Bob.:wavey:

Did you notice the complete lack of scripture in his response? Do you really think God will find joy in returning to animal sacrifices? Read Hebrews.

No earthly millennium; No animal sacrifices; Just God tabernacling with redeemed mankind, the Church, following the Great White Throne Judgment.[Revelation 20:11ff]

The re-introduction of animal sacrifices would be a mockery of the supreme blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.....It was once and for all.

The Kingdom of God is forever!

Dr Bob, with all due respect; Do you honestly believe that God is going to take away the second to re-establish the first?

    5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;
6 In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure:
7 Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.
8 Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law),
9 then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. Heb 10

Does our taking communion bread and wine each week MOCK the crucifixion? No, it is a remembrance and painting a graphic pix each week of what Jesus did as a reminder to us and witness to the unregenerate.

In the same way, the only blood shed in the kingdom will be that of the sacrificial animal - again, a remembrance and painting a graphic pix each week of what Jesus did.

Ezekiel gives a wonderful prophecy about the NEW temple to be built for worship of the King. He is careful to describe said sacrifices:

Ezekiel 40:38-43 "And the chambers and the entries thereof were by the posts of the gates, where they washed the burnt offering. And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slay thereon the burnt offering and the sin offering and the trespass offering. And at the side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the north gate, were two tables; and on the other side, which was at the porch of the gate, were two tables. Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew their sacrifices. And the four tables were of hewn stone for the burnt offering, of a cubit and an half long, and a cubit and an half broad, and one cubit high: whereupon also they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt offering and the sacrifice. 43 And within were hooks, an hand broad, fastened round about: and upon the tables was the flesh of the offering."

Ezekeil 43:18-27 And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon. And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering. And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou cleanse and purge it. Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and he shall burn it in the appointed place of the house, without the sanctuary. And on the second day thou shalt offer a kid of the goats without blemish for a sin offering; and they shall cleanse the altar, as they did cleanse it with the bullock. When thou hast made an end of cleansing it, thou shalt offer a young bullock without blemish, and a ram out of the flock without blemish.
And thou shalt offer them before the LORD, and the priests shall cast salt upon them, and they shall offer them up for a burnt offering unto the LORD. Seven days shalt thou prepare every day a goat for a sin offering: they shall also prepare a young bullock, and a ram out of the flock, without blemish. Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves. And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the eighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord GOD.

These sacrifices are meant to direct the attention of people born during the Millennium back to the cross, just as in Old Testament days they looked forward to it. The objective for both is the same, to cause people to realize that they’re sinners in need of a savior.

Amazing that you seem not to like what God has prepared for the Millennial reign.

Yes, the BIBLE teaches there will be a new Temple erected
Yes, the BIBLE teaches there will be an altar of sacrifice
Yes, the BIBLE teaches there will be sacrifices of various animals
Yes, the BIBLE teaches there will be priests (to make sacrifices, eh)

No, the BIBLE does not teach we are going back to the Law. Where did you get that in Ezekiel 40-48? Certain things (like sacrifices that far pre-dated the Law) will be instituted. God's idea, not mine. ;)

Don't argue with me. Argue with God. You can't get much clearer than 9 chapters in Ezekiel about that future Temple and worship in the Kingdom. Hey, I'm a literalist. God said it and even if I don't understand it, I'll stand by the Word.

That is pure dispensational hogwash. Also, the sacrifices in no way compare to our celebration of the Lord's Supper..this do in remembrance of me.......not a sacrificial offering for sin in a temporal kingdom. In the Old Covenant it looked forward to the final sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. In the Old we looked forward to the cross. In the New and beyond we look back to the cross in redemption.

We are in the millennial reign. Jesus is presently on the throne and ruling at the right hand of God. When He comes, it will be final as we know it on this earth. That is biblical!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Well then, literally they are for SIN OFFERINGS. You nullify the work of Christ, argue with God that sin offerings aren't really for sin.

When I first heard that animal sacrifices were to be re-instituted in the millenium, I also said hogwash! I have spoken to quite a few christians outside my normal circle and have come to the conclusion that it is true. I believe that Ezek.9 is speaking of the millenial temple. I don't fully understand why other than the church age is ended and as Dr. Bob says the people are looking back at the cross. If the bible says it, it's true.

I'm still trying to get you to show me where your Bible says these things.

    Where does it say this:

These sacrifices are meant to direct the attention of people born during the Millennium back to the cross,

Specific book chapter and verse please.

    Where does it say this:

In the same way, the only blood shed in the kingdom will be that of the sacrificial animal - again, a remembrance and painting a graphic pix each week of what Jesus did.

Specific book chapter and verse please.

Now I don't have the LaHaye Prophecy Study Bible so maybe I have a bad version. So please give me the specific verses that answer those questions. Should be easy for a Dr.

Secondly you proudly proclaim to be a literalist so what does: "sin offering" mean to a literalist how how does its usage change from Leviticus to Ezekiel?

Also where does the Bible tell us of the reinstitution of the priestly office out of the tribe of Levi?

Eze 43:19 And thou shalt give to the priests the Levites that be of the seed of Zadok, which approach unto me, to minister unto me, saith the Lord GOD, a young bullock for a sin offering.

Lev 4:3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.

What verse or verses in Ezekiel 9 could possibly give you an indication of some future Millennial Temple? Perhaps you can explain what is meant by "sin offering".

Amen. Reinstituting the temple, the priesthood and the offerings is anti-Christ.
