Get ready for another "stimulus" plan that doesn't stimulate.

With the unemployment rate headed into the stratosphere, democrats now say the economy is worse than they thought, or that they didn't have enough information. That's just great! They didn't have enough information, but they spent nearly a trillion dollars without having enough info to know how "bad" the economy was? Now they want to spend more! The blame it on Bush excuse is wearing very thin.

They tried spending their way to prosperity and it didn't work. In true democrat fashion, they want to spend even more and see if it will work this time. Next, they will begin to try to tax their way to prosperity.

All this gives new meaning to the term "tax and spend" democrats as they steer us steadily toward national bankruptcy.

It is evident that the neophyte socialist idealogue we elected as president, and his party members in congress, don't have a clue what drives the economy of the once great nation.

Truly , the lunatics are running the asylum. God help us all!

What would be the purpose in a second round of waste if the first one didn't work?

And how could it possible have done anything if the bulk of the money won't even be wasted for two more years?

From what I've heard, this second one is DOA.

Obama's pretty much mortgaged the farm on healthcare, c(r)ap and trade, and the first stimulus. Only the far left end of his party are willing to go there, and they don't have anywhere near the votes.

Not to mention...Obama's approval rating is sliding some. Each major bill will be that much harder to sell than the previous one. Especially as we slide deeper into debt.

Why don't they just give the money directly to working people... That will stimulate the economy by paying bills, mortgages, buying cars and appliances.

I totally agree, but the whole mindset of the liberals is "take the money away from the people".:tear:

I woldn't say the first one didn't work. I personally know two people who are working on road projects funded by the first stimulus package. They were previously unemployed. Now they are building infrastructure and feeding their families.

So what has been the average cost of a job created or "saved" so far?

    http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/economy/sectors-mainmenu-46/1236 $869,610?

    http://rs9.loc.gov/cgi-bin/cpquery/..._n=hr004.111&db_id=111&item=4&sel=TOC_330182& $222,972? or is it $412,162?

The government shouldn't be in the business of "creating jobs".

    From Neal Boortz: SOURCE

There you go. Of course, what should we expect, when the principle players in our "stimulus package" are a slobbering pervert, and a tax cheat?

Another reason to oppose another fascist ploy...er, stimulus:

Areas that backed Obama are receiving much, much more $$ than areas that didn't. And who's telling this? The not-so-conservative rag USA Today.

    from the article:

To quote the parrot, "Pardon me while I die from 'not surprised.' "

    It's an ideoligical necessity.

The liberal mindset is always to correct their mistakes by repeating them.
