What was the decisive cause of your faith in Christ?

    Decisive: determining the outcome.

Cause: the reason for the condition.

First, it is important that faith is "my faith" only because God has granted me unmerited favor to actually hear the preaching of the Scriptures in which the Holy Spirit used to awaken, convict, and instill me with the ability to believe (faith).

Second, because I nor any other human was the determining factor of the outcome, it remains that Christ is truly the author.

Third, the purpose of God was for His glory and none of my own.

    Thanks for that.

I would agree but might credit the Father with your second point. Matt 16:17; John 6:44.
