Just so curious. I'm new at it. So far, only History type DVDs are what I've been bidding on. :flower:

    Hiya LE,

I Love Ebay! I have bought some nice things on Ebay one being a Bible from 1850.

I have also bought a lot of printers, phones and other things I use in my business.

The rule of thumb. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. If the person has one or two negative feebacks from a year ago, they probably have learned their lesson, if they have tons of negative feedbacks, or negative feedbacks from last week, stay away.

It's fun and exciting when you're the winning bidder and the auction ticks down. tick tick tick... You've Won!

Have fun and don't big against me! :tongue3:

    Jamie

My folks have a big ebay business. They go to garage sales and find really great stuff. Then they sell it everywhere.....literally....Japan, Germany, Canada, most of the 50 states, etc.

I'm always shocked at what people will buy. Then my mother turns right around and buys stuff from ebay.

I love ebay! It's fun to bid and win something you have been looking for. I have collected some blue willow stuff. I got a beautiful teaset for only $2.99!

I buy on eBay, mostly farm stuff including two hay balers and two wagons, and have bid on a couple of tractors, but also some books and some glassware, if it is what I'm looking for to fill a set.

    Ed

P.S. So far, I've got 100% positive 'feedback'.

I've probably bid against TTim on some of those old Bibles, I sure hope you enjoyed them.

I picked up a John Deere Tractor last winter saving about a $700 dollars...postage was a bit steep
(I really went and picked it up myself in my father-in-laws truck :saint: ).

I picked up a cheap guitar for my youngest daughter for Christmas
It was worth every penny I spent of it (it cost a cent but had a $38 shipping charge).

I try not to get caught up in bidding wars.
I frequently find that people get so caught up on winning a bid that the price of the item escalates far beyond its real worth.

I have obtained several old editions of the KJV on ebay, from 1769 and 1790 Cambridge editions, a 1795 Oxford edition, and several editions printed in the 1800's. It was there I was also able to find the 1842 revision of the KJV by Baptists.

    I've been a buyer - 12 whole times! Never a seller.

I like e-bay (almost as much as the BB!).

I have done a lot with ebay, probably sold around 100 items and bought about 200.
My feedback is 100+ all positive but of course about 2/3 of the time no feedback is left.

Isn't that the truth! I have all postive feedback, but it sure does seem like they take forever to think about giving it after they get the money. :)

A lot of sellers will not leave feedback until the buyer does, so that if there are problems they can fix that, or to make sure the buyer isn't going to neg them without a reason, which happens all the time. I, as a seller, will not leave feedback until they my buyer does. When the buyer leaves feedback it signals a satisfactorily completed transaction.

Okay, so how long do you wait for your order to come before you leave a negative feed back? I am at 11 days and two DVD bids I won have not yet arrived, even though they were PayPal'd instantly upon notification. Time marches on.... :(
