The talk in the chapel on Sept 1st at Midwestern Bapitst went well, PTL. After the talk, the president of the seminary (Dr. Phil Roberts) invited students who wanted to talk further with me to come to lunch with us, so we ended up at a Chinese restaurant where several students asked questions. That went on for about 90 min. Then that evening, I ended up speaking at a Baptist church in Overland Park, KS (Emmanuel Baptist), about 30 miles away.

I will be returning to Midwestern Baptist Seminary for their seminar on the New Age Oct 14-16. I will be doing some workshops (others will do workshops as well). This seminar will be open to the public. So anyone on the BB who is near Kansas City, you are certainly invited!

I enjoyed my visit tremendously -- the students and profs that I met were very friendly and the atmosphere there quite warm and welcoming.

Near? I live in Kansas City [IMG] . I'll write it down Macia and maybe i'll come and say HI! ... And we are welcoming around here. Afterall we're a NASCAR, Football, BASEBALL and shopping center :D . When you come into town I'll give you the best places to get a bite to eat. You've not lived till you had a Kansas City Steak ;)

Thanks, DavidsAngel, for your welcoming post. [IMG] I must tell you though that at these conferences I am pretty much tied into the schedule and will not be able to get away. They are usually pretty exhausting -- I will probably be doing 3 workshops and a panel and talking to people in between. I already have something scheduled for after the conference as it is.

Also, I am vegetarian so I'm afraid I would not appreciate the Kansas City Steak. :D But I appreciate your desire to make me feel at home.

Do check out the conference if you can -- it is open to the public and should be quite interesting!

Midwestern Baptist will be having a Seminar on the New Age, OPENT TO THE PUBLIC, Oct 14-16. It's only $20 if you don't want credit hours. Go to this link and then click on the New Age Seminar on the menu in the upper left:
    www.mbts.edu

A window pops up listing the speakers (I am one of them) and other info. So even if you don't attend there or live there, but know some that do and might be interested, pass the word on. [IMG]

Also, I will be speaking to the Cults class at Midwestern's extension in OK City on Oct 18, if anyone on the BB attends that. (That is not open to the public, as far as I know).
