Have you made those closest to you feel appreciated lately? I mean, a lack of appreciation can very quickly burn a person out! So...before you do anything else, think of someone close to you, and then think about when the last time you made them feel appreciated for all the hard work they've done and keep doing for you! You know, they don't have to do anything of what they do for you, but do it because they love you! So...go...get up....walk away from your computer and grab that person and give them a great big hug and thank them for all their hard work, and then do something nice for them! I'm serious! They deserve it! They work hard so that you can enjoy the special things that they do for you!

Thank you for reminding us. I just gave my husband a great big hug and now I am going to call my mother.

On my son's birthday, I wrote him a special note about how much I appreciated him. I think He liked the note better than his present.

Betty: I do a little twist on Mother's Day since my mother is deceased. I send each one of my KIDS a rose and a card telling them how much they mean to me. After all, if it weren't for them, I wouldn't BE a mother! :D

BaptistBeliever: I needed reminded to do this too. Since we've moved, there are so many things to do. I'm afraid I have been picking on hubby for what is NOT done instead of thanking him for all the things that ARE done. [IMG]

    Blessings,

We do this all the time at my house. I'm not being smug, we just do. Lack of appreciation is something that really irks me..it's one of my pet peeves, and also one of my husbands...so we are all about "Honey, thank you so much" for whatever it is, and there's also the obligatory "Have I told you lately how wonderful you are?" comment that we try to give each other.

The one that needs it the most is my son. He's sort of like me in that he often doubts his own self worth. He has quite an attitude too. But a few kind edifying words, and he melts like butter.

What can I say, we should build each other up...and some of us need it more than others.

Teresa...you nut...I told you, you should change your name....that would settle the confusion once and for all. ;) Glad to see you posting again. I've missed you. (((((((Teresa)))))))

Sorry Teresa! I guess I was having a 'Senior Moment'. [IMG] Why don't you keep the same name for awhile, then I would know who I was talking to?!

Teresa would be a good name! :D
