Why are people like Bill Koenig and others like him on this board always condemning fellow Christians for not sharing their view of prophecy? Why isn't the fact that their fellow Christians have come to Christ Jesus in repentance and faith sufficient for people like Bill Koenig?

I'd suggest that prophecy isn't what is lacking (or should be at the forefront of our theological issues) but a general understanding of Christianity. Most Christians don't know Arius from Augustine when I comes to Christian theology or Calvin from Luther in terms of major issues.

The over-realized eschatological motives of a vocal minority in evangelicalism has moved one particular strand of theology beyond the others which are just as, if not more, important.

Prophecy was a passion of mine for several years. I don't get very passionate about it anymore, but I never felt like it was something everyone had to agree on.

I do think replacement theology is seriously bad mojo, though. That does need correction.

I am on board with your emphasis on Christian theology. When we get it right, everything else will take its rightful place, including prophecy.

I think the same way about premillennialism, espeicially the dispensationalist brand of it.

But I don't raise it to a level of saying that someone doesn't believe the Bible or is ignorant of the Bible if he belleves in premillennialism, and I don't think that you do, either.

npetrely, we are on the same lines on something.

I would not go so far as to call it bad mojo, but I do disagree with it strongly.

Having said that, now this is going to sound like someone trying to defend an accusation of racism, "I have black friends, my best friend is black."

I do have some very good friends who are reformed in their eschatological views, and my best friend is a Free Presbyterian.

That's it, all my supporting churches on the BB about to drop me...

I guess I'm one of those replacement theology baptists-does that mean I'm going to hell:tonofbricks:?

But I've got a sharp eye on the developments around the world, my guns are loaded and supplies ready for whatever ;)

Yet there's always the rapture anyway and "whooooosh" we'll be outta here
