    Good morning -

By now, you should be getting a feel for what an indominatable force the Israeli Army was. The sacking of the conquered cities and the policy of no prisoners must have been absolutely terrifying for the inhabitants of Caanan. The list of defeated kings in chapter 12 speaks for itself. I found a map showing how Joshua divided the land of Canaan for conquer: http://www.berean-houston.org/Library/Joshua/Joshua_14.jpg

In Mark we read another favorite Sunday School story of the healing of the paralytic. This story is a testimony not only of the faith of the paralytic, but also his friends who lowered him through the roof. This marks the first confrontation with the Pharisees in the Book of Mark.

In Romans, I want to point out that in verse 4 Paul states that he will be judged by the Lord. In Romans 14:11, he states that we are the ones who confess. No prosecutors, no defenders. The responsibility rests on the individual.

    May God bless you

    - Clint
