    I have 4 credit cards

I called the company with the highest APR.
I asked them to consider lowering my rate, as it has wen up considerably over the past year.

When the clerk informed me there was nothing she could do, I asked for a supervisor.
The supervisor finally came on- we talked a bit - then she said she would check something out.
Well over an hour later, I was still on hold!
I got on my cell phone and called back - took me a while but I finally got another supervisor.
She refused to really assist me. I did complain that I was till on hold from the first supervisor.
At this point, that call was now 2 hours on hold! I told her, I will not use that card until the APR is lowered

AM I the only one who has had a problem with a credit card company?

Get rid of credit cards mate. I refuse to participate in the usurious system.

The actual definition of usury is charging interest on unproductive loans.

Loans that don’t make money, loans for buying a home, a meal at a restaurant or paying for a holiday for instance.

Credit cards can snare people when they are most vulnerable, they rack them up as a last resort when they hit bad times. The banks just wait for people to hit those times in life.

Credit cards are fine...as long as one pays them off every month.

And when one doesn’t due to a string of nasty circumstances?

Then one pays interest. Just hope for no "nasty circumstances".

Usury is evil. There’s a reason it was prohibited in all the ancient civilisations warranting the death penalty. In all the Catholic nations it had the death penalty attached to it right up to the reformation.
    It enslaves.
People should not put themselves in situations where they can be enslaved.

Interesting - I never mentioned the actual APR
My main concern was the poor attitude I received from (so called ) customer service

I have no desire to live in a Catholic nation as a personal preference.

The point is, they offer these things in the hope to enslave people in debt.

Many otherwise responsible people have been enslaved and destroyed due to circumstance using these things.

I've never had a problem with using my credit cards and I have been using them for decades. I feel sorry for those who use them irresponsibly. People use lots of things irresponsibly.
