I'ze happy to learn that you're regular 'cause many old folks are not.

Let us review these passages, which reveal a lot ...

    • “… God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit
and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel …” (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14)

    • “For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one …” (Hebrews 2:11)

    • “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” (Hebrews 10:14)

    • "For as many as are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God." (Romans 8:14)

There are at least 2 stages of sanctification:
    1) positional (set apart)
    2) progressive (see above)

How y’all doin’ with stage 2?

We should add this to the 4 passages above ...

    • “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing (spiritually),
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. ... it pleased God through the
foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. ” (1 Corinthians 1:18, 21)

Because of (the power of) God, the gospel is not foolishness to born-again Christians!

He gives the grace-faith, sets us apart, and proceeds with the TOUGH (for us!) process of sanctification.
