    According to I Corinthians 12:28
God has placed certain things in the Church.
    One of these is Miracles.

Paul was not healed of the thorn in his flesh. Timothy needed to take wine for his stomach complaint.

Yet people were still being healed by miracles. The scenario today is the same. some are healed and some are not.

God is in control, He holds the whole world in His hands. His grace is our Healing however it manifests itself.

In the valleys we must remember "man's extremities are God's opportunity"
The most horrable act on this earth was Jesus dieing on the cross yet look how much Glory and Praise and Miracle that came forth from that singal act.

It cannot be proven that Pauls thorn in the flesh was a physical problem that he would need to be healed of. All we know is that it was a messenger of satan that came to buffet him.
Some think that it could have been guilt over killing Stephen and putting others in prison.
Of course that theory cannot be proven either.

She doesn't need prayer anymore. She died early this morning. I am too angry to post how this makes me feel. Just another disappointment.

    Terry, you posted:

Hopefully, this person knew Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The scriptures tell us "that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."

1CO 15:[19] If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.
[20] But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

If this person knew Jesus, they are not at this time disappointed. You may be, because you are for a time separated from this person. But the separation is only for a short time. When my father died last year, it really focused me on heaven. Only good happens in heaven. Our Heavenly Father, and our Savior Jesus, are there. Some others that were close to me on earth are there. We who know Jesus will all soon be there.

God can still work miracles, but we need to avoid the temptation to worship the miracles themselves.

    Terry,

We cannot be mad because this little girl passed on. She is with Jesus. Glory to His name! We were created for God, and to give Him all the glory, honor, and praise.

I think God spared this little girl suffering. Rejoice she is with Him now!

Its hard to let go of those we love, and know. And we wonder why this person had this, and why that person had that. And we really don't know why. But it is also not for us to decide why or who.

I think this little girl left a wonderful impact on your life. She touched you, and your heart was soft for her. What a witness to give others. You saw the joys her parents went through and the sorrows. I am sure you thanked God you did not have to go through the things the parents of this little girl went through, and you can be there to show them the power in God's strength.

    words by Helen Lemmel

I will be praying for this family, and for you Terry.

Thank you for your prayers, especially for this family.

No, she was not saved, in the normal sense. She had the mind of a 2 or 3 year old.

Then she is with Jesus. Another little lamb has gone to be with the Lamb.

    Prayers are with you.

Do miracles happen? Yes. Are they still for today? Yes. The scripture that says Jesus Christ the Same yesterday, today and forever means exactly that. Nothing will change his ability to heal. Nothing will do away with the fact that Calvary brought us healing.

The Bible makes it pretty clear that it is a matter of faith and also that there is a sickness unto death.

The Bible said that Jesus could not do many mighty miracles in Nazareth because of the peoples doubt and unbelief. Am I saying that everyone that God does not heal is not healed because of a lack of faith. Absolutely not but this can be a cause.

I have saw many miracles of healing take place.
I had an uncle who was diagnosed with TB. When he was prayed for they could not find it any longer. My Dad's appendix ruptured and the little country hospital he was in left him in that condition for 48 hours until the pain got so bad my mom had him transfered to a larger city and the she called and asked me to pray for him and the doctors said he should have died but would be fine.

My wife had an abruptio placenta and lost so much blood that the obstetricians who were going to do the emergency ceasarean section said there was a 30% chance she would survive the surgery and even then they would have to give her a blood transfusion. THere was no blood transfusion and she survived the surgery. When they had told me that she had such a little chance of survival I told them they did not know the God I serve.

My wife this year was told she had a tumor in her breast that was cancerous. They were going to do a special type of biopsy. The doctor came in and took a couple of xrays first. He left the room to look at the xrays. Came back in and did a mammagram. Left the room. Came back and told my wife to get dressed and go home because the tumor was gone.

One more miracle that I thank God for is when my mother was giving birth to me and the doctor had did the episiotomy he cut too deep so my mother started to bleed to death. They finally got the bleeding to stop but they gave her a transfusion before I was delivered. When I was delivered the transfusion had poisoned my blood and I was dying. They tried to give me a full transfusion but my body kept rejecting the blood. They for some reason decided to call in one of my uncles in from Korea but they did not know if I would live long enough for him to get to the states.
My Grandfather prayed for me and I survived until my Uncle arrived and when they tried his blood my body accepted it.

When my Grandfather prayed for me he dedicated me to the Lord. From the time I could understand I had a love for Jesus. Was not raised by Christian parents but I from the time I could read was always reading Bible books, the bible etc. Teachers used to get frustrated with me in school because I normally wrote reports etc on Bible characters.

My sister that I was raised with got into witchcraft, eastern ocultism, drugs, and a wild hippie lifestyle while living at home but I had a desire to live for Jesus even though a child.

I'm skeptical. Why is is that all these "healings" involve something that cannot be seen. It is always something inside: the lungs, the heart, headaches, etc. What about a healing that involves something that can be seen, such as a deformed arm or leg. What about the raising of the dead. After all, Jesus raised the dead. Jesus, the same yesterday, today and forever?

Many miracles are documented by xrays, cat scans and mri's when they have to do with things inside. Like my wife's breast cancer. It was there and it was proven by a mammagram etc but after prayer was offered it could not be found.

Let me ask you all one question. Has anybody here ever seen a miracle of healing that involved something visible: a broken limb restored, a disfigured face make new, etc?

I seen my husbands heart stop beating, the Dr. pronounced him dead, and so his stomach started pumping up and down like a basket ball. Hard for along time. The Dr. was amazed. Had no answer. They rushed and worked to get his heart started for a long time, and Praise the Lord he came back to live 3 more years.

    Is that what you mean?

Would you like to read the testimony of a man raised from the dead?

Would you like to see a video, that intervies the doctors, shows his death certificate and looks at the physical evidence?

Daniel Eckachukuwa of Nigeria was raised to life at a Reinhardt Bonnke Crusade after being dead for nearly three days. They even have the mourge attendant verifying that he had rigour mortis set in.

Ill find the link and post it.

Thank you Ben W, I would like to see the video, however, it is very difficult to believe that anything that Reinhardt Bonnke does would qualify as a miricle. He is part of the "word of faith" movement which is full of false doctrine.

Let me make myself clear. I am not saying that there are no miracles today, it is just that I have never seen one or met anyone who could confirm having seen one themselves.

I always hear about cancer being healed. Although I have known people who "got their healing" when their cancer went into remission, most of these people later died when the cancer came back.

This part time healing does not qualify as a miracle, as far as I am concerned. Remission of cancer happens to both christians and non-believers alike.
