My advice to you is get out of the First Baptist Church of Toronto.
It is a hotbed of liberalism that does not preach the gospel but some kind of socialism. I searched through the statement of faith (which nowhere states the deity of Christ, or gives any clear statement of the gospel). You pastor is an engineer with some theological training. The goal of the church is to reach out to the community. But how? He says that "story becomes more important than doctrine." No wonder you are confused. Go to a church that preaches sound doctrine, is based on the Bible, not stories; is Christ-centered, and Biblically-based.

 

I have seen your church's website. That is enough for me to make at least some assessment of this situation.

Now you tell me. What does it mean to be born again.

 

If you claim you have seen God you are deluded, probably have been dabbling in the occult, and may even be demon possessed.

"God is spirit; they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Jesus said that in John 4:24.

--So what you have seen is not God.
