    Prov.11
[30] The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

    Wanna be wise? Win souls.

BTW, I agree completely with what Helen is saying. God knows everything about me, even the number of hairs on my head. It is when I haven't asked for His complete guidance and direction in my life that I've made some big mistakes.

Can only speak for myself here, but have learned that little "gut feeling" way down deep is not me after all, it is the Holy Spirit. When I chose to ignore that "gut feeling" (for lack of a better description), it is when I have gotten into trouble, dismissing it off as it being "just me" or emotions, the devil or something other than the Holy Spirit. It took literally YEARS for me to learn it was Him.

Kinda reminds me of Psalm 86, in verse 17 David asks the LORD to show him a token for good. All your examples are just that! We all should ask the LORD to show us a token for good too.

The only way you can read passage about the prayer, go to Matthew 7:7-11 talks about prayer.

I believe that we do have desire to ask Jesus, what we need, He always listen our prayer. I have experince with pray with Jesus before.

In 1994, my car engineer was collpased, I was struck can't go to work. My work was about 20 miles away. No way I can go there on time. So, I knee down and praying to God for need a new or used car, also, ask God for find a job near to my home. I did prayed to God also I confessed my sins first before ask God for need car and job. God heard my prayer. On the same day, I went out to filled out job applications by walking, not ride. I got hired job on the SAME day after I prayed. Then, next day, I received letter from my friend of New York City. He asked, is my home address correct? I sent mail to him, yes that is correct. Few days later I received letterf rom my same friend, guess what? I received $4,600 dollars! God answered my prayer. I got a nice used car. I like Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

I believe God hear our prayer, and will answer out needs. Also, if you ask anything to Jesus, He'll DO it - John 14:14 - "If you shall ask any thing in my name, I WILL DO IT."

Trust Him, he listens our prayer. Because he cares us so much. Same as we ask our earthly father, what we need, he will buy or give something to us.

I believe we do have desire to ask anything in pray to Jesus, He will answer our prayer - Mark 11:24 "There I say unto you, What things soever ye DESIRE, when ye pray, BELIEVE that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

TRUST and BELIEVE on the Lord, he listens our prayer.

I recommend you to read Dr. John R. Rice book - "PRAYER - Asking and Receiving". You can order it - www.swordofthelord.com It is very good book!

I heard Dr. Lee Roberson saying, he was impress of John Rice's praying. When was roommate with John Rice at the hotel during conference or revival. They were praying together. John Rice started with praying. Dr. Roberson listened him. John Rice prayed on many names, he does not praying of himself or needs, he just praying of many names of persons what they need. While he praying for past a hour, he woke up, "Ohhh! I am sorry, I pray long." Dr. Roberson told him, "No, that's all right go ahead praying." He was impress of Dr. John Rice's praying.

If you have any problems, or need something, ASK Lord, he will hear your prayer!

OR.... while you praying to the Lord, as what you need, BUT holding your sins in you, Lord will NOT hear your prayer, till you first confess your sins first, so, he will answer your prayer.

Trust and believe in the Lord while you praying. I believe the Lord will hear your prayer! [IMG]

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 - Amen!

DD: you ask for specific verses.

Good brother, the Bible is full of verses. Adam and Eve had no Bible. God conversed with them.

From that point on, there is a huge multitude of examples of God's people, prophets and ordinary believers who are spoken to by God.

You could look at a verse and not understand it is saying that God can guide you personally and specifically, yet others see it that way.

The main thing is to follow His Word and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Most of the time it is vague impressions that seem hyper-mental. "I couldn't have known that. Where did THAT thought come from? Hmmmm.... Thanks God!"

You get specific guidance all the time DD. You are just too humble to realize or boast about it, which is good. I'm sure it operates in your life constantly. To some it's overt or obvious. To others it is covert or subtle. but it exists all the time when we trust and obey God.

    Bless all posters!

You too, Dr. Bob. Good explanation you gave.
