I was "dead" (not just sick) in tresspasses and sins. God quickened me, drew me to himself and granted me His salvation solely through His mercy. I only believed as a result of his marvelous grace. I'm not a student of John Calvin but from what I know about TULIP, looks like I'm Calvinist.

To me the choice, biblically, is easy, 100% grace, or not so much grace.

It is pretty presumptious to claim that calvinism is the ONLY choice to be made as far as 100% correct biblically. Trying to fit God and the Bible into a manmade 5 point system is just plain ridiculous.

Trying to deny the any of the five aspects of salvation that are revealed in the Bible, though there may be more, is also ridiculous.

That's like saying believing the Trinity is fitting God into a box because we cannot fully understand the Trinity.

3 people prefer traffic lights over a theological system to describe salvation. Hmm...

If you'll read it, you'll notice what I said was 100% grace

Maybe they, (and add me TO that list) prefer picking a traffic light to having to pick from among faulty choices!
    That's me, anyway!
    In his grace,

    Free grace!

    I love Calvinist polls.

    It's like asking, are you:
    a. Communist
    b. Anarchist
    c. Fascist
    d. None of the above.
Wonder of wonders, D gets the most.

Or, when did you stop beating your wife?

When will Calvinists stop trying to get everyone into one of only two categories??

When someone can find a new category that isn't a mixture of the other two.

There's only two categories; Biblical and Non-Biblical! Se my own short post on page one. I assure you that 'Arminianism' does not equate to Biblical; I assure you that 'Calvinism' does not equate to Biblical; and I assure you that Biblical does not fall somewhere between the two. I further assure you that I am absolutely and entirely orthodox!

I saw your short post on page one. I just read it again. Neither Calvinism nor Arminianism is about "attempting to box God and man into" a theological system. Both are about attempting to describe what the Bible says about God and man and salvation. What I have not seen is your own attempt to describe what the Bible says about God and man and salvation. How about you tell us what you think 'Biblical' is? Then we can see for ourselves just how entirely orthodox you are.
