    I was just wondering who in here is planning on going to Bible College, where at, and what they are planning on studying.

    I am going to Bible College, but I am not sure yet where, maybe Oklahoma Baptist College or Providence Baptist College. I am going to study either Elementary Education, Secondary Education or Missions. I am surrendered to be a missionaries wife.

    Jamie,

    What does "surrendered to be a missionary's wife" mean? Are you engaged to a missionary?

    Rev. Joshua,
    No, I believe that the Lord has called me to go to the mission feild, and with a husband who has the same calling. I would be a missionaries (my husband) wife. No, I am not engaged to one, I am only 15 and not thinking about that stuff just yet. If you're still confused, just ask. I believe that it is the Lord's will for me to be on the mission feild as a missionary/missionaries wife.

    Lord willing I will be going to Bible college. I want to go to Tabernacle Bible College, in Greenvile SC. [very sort drive from me.}
    I hope to teach choir to girls, and preferably in a Bible college, or to work as a social worker with the elderly.
    Of course, if anyone would be crazy enough to marry me, then I would be a stay at home wife, and Lord willing, a stay at home mom! {I want at least 5! :D }
    Savedgirl, I think it's wonderful that you have surrendered to be a missionary's wife, and I'm quite sure that the Lord will bless you and whoever you marry to do His work.

    savedgirl, It's great to hear that there are other teens who have a want to serve Jesus Christ. [IMG] I am also planning, as preacherboymatt is, to go to Crown College in Powell, TN. My brother attends there and I have felt the Lord calling me there since my 8th grade year. I have also surrendered my life to be a missionaries wife. :D I plan to go to Crown next fall. Hey! Maybe I'll see you there in a few years. [IMG] Charity

    Hyles Anderson college is a great college. I would like to go there, but It is a really big college, and I don't want that big of a college. I am still thinking and praying about Crown, OBC, and Providence or any other college that the Lord will lead me to. :D

    When I was about your age I was planning on attending Cederville College, now University. It wasn't until my senior year of high school did God really reveal where he wanted me, although He showed me the last minute.

    I thought that God wanted me to attended a Christian college for my entire college career, He didn't. He does, however want me to transfer c

    Ready, cause here it is: PRAY! Pray for your future spouse, pray now that you can be a good husband wife, pray that God will use both of you to further His kingdom.

    And for college, I have some advice there: PRAY! Pray that you will make the right decision, and don't be afraid to go somewhere other than a Christian college. Pray that you will be used on your campus, whereever you end up. The best thing that any of you can do right now is pray!

    I read some of these and surprisingly I get a lil sick to my stomach

    All great ideals

    But why are you going to Bible college?

    To be a wife/find a husband?
    OR
    are you planning to serve God and let Him
    bring the finished product to you.

    Go to Bible college if you want to be a youth "pastor" - or a missionary - dont
    go there to be a wife

    Ive met too many people who have gone to Bible college for the wrong reasons - spouse hunting; and not for the right one - God

    The call you are given has to do with your individual spiritual gift - Do you desire to preach no matter the cost - or do you desire to build up what has been started? Or do you desire to get married?

    Perhaps you are misunderstanding your call - much like modern missions agencies have abused the concept of the "call" to extend to only certain types of people - while forgetting the broad spectrum of spiritual gifts.

    I thought I was called to be an apostle(missionary) - I was wrong - since I have acted upon my "calling" - I found I have been called to actually the role of a teacher/plus other schtuff

    The nicknames of some of the Bible colleges i know

    BrierCrest - is BridalQuest
    Ontario Bible College now known as Tyndale - was once called Ontario Bridal College

    I am going to enter to Pensacola Christian College next fall. I have heard the cracks about PCC standing for "Pensacola Concentration Camp," but the place only seems oppressive to rebels (I do not refer to
    Confederates [IMG] ). I have been down there myself and love the place. I really look forward to going there. Is there anybody else in this forum who will go or is going to go to PCC?

    I don't know what Christian college I want to go to, but I do want to go to one. I'm thinking of a small college that has excellent Bible teaching. I want to go to Frontier School of the Bible if I can. It's an extremely small college in LaGrange, WY. [IMG]

    I'm planning on going to Cedarville. I want to study engineering, so my choices are fairly limited. [IMG] I just hope I can get enough scholarships and, God forbid, loans to pay for it.

    I ( at the moment) are not planning on going to Pensacola Christian College. At my school now, we use the ABEKA video schoooll, done by Pensacola Christian Academy/College. So I know they have pretty much the same doctrinal beliefs as me. It is a great college for any one who would want to go there, but I don't think the Lord wants me to go that far from home!!!

    I would really like to go to a bigger college for one, I have gone to a small christian school my whole life and like to be around a lot of people. And two, you have more of a choice on what to major in at a bigger college. Like I know a lot of small colleges I was interested in that don't offer what I want. So it all depends one what you are majoring in and what type of environment you would like. [IMG]

    I would recommend checking out to make sure that your college is accredited. PCC for example is not. This could present problems in your future if God calls you to higher education or certain workplaces.
    About going to college to get your "MRS"--this happens in secular schools as well as Bible colleges. It is a great place to find a mate with the same goals and prepare you for your life together, whether in the workplace or ministry. If at Bible School it will prepare wives for support-mate ministry. I think it is also positive to be on the same level intellectally as your mate. My husband is pursuing his M.Div right now and after a semester, I realize that I want to enroll, so that I can intellectually relate with him on a deeper level.
