I also didn't mention that nearly all the questions are complex; therefore, it is possible that (for example) you don't do any of those things and are KJVO, in which case you simply can't answer the last two questions honestly because they assume you do witness publickly [sic] and doorknock.

Maybe the question should not be "are you witnessing," but rather "what kind of witness are you?" Ay?

Typical dodge by someone who doesnt want to go witness. </font>
Unreal attack. You are taking advantage of your youth. No adult would get away with that kind of judgement. If you want ot be treated like an adult than you need to act like an adult. If you were an adult you would be properly attacked for yoru sanctimonious attitude.

Door knocking and street preaching is the only way to witness?

Was the purpose of your "poll" to prove how only KJVO go door knocking so only they are spiritual?

    How judgemental!
    You owe John an apology.

(Then attack me for it. Go ahead I can take it. Im not the one sanctimoniously saying that "thats not what ive been called to do".To excuse not doing it. How is it sanctimonious to say I do it? I didnt say im better then you,I just said that I do it. So why dont you stop critisizing my youth and answer the question.)

Door knocking and street preaching is the only way to witness?

(I never said that, it is one of the most effective(if not the most) ways to witness but its not the only way,as a matter of fact I just got back from our church float in the parade. We put out over a thousand(maybe 2) tracks in half an hour. Here are a few other ways to witness, you can leave tracks at the resturaunt where you eat,you can give the cashier a track when you check out,you can go to public gatherings and pass them out.Now ill probably hear that im being sanctimonious again...)

Was the purpose of your "poll" to prove how only KJVO go door knocking so only they are spiritual?

(Actually no, I just wanted to see what percentage of christians publickly witness or hide behind their sanctomonious statements.)

    How judgemental!

    </font>
(You ask a question, then before its answered you "assume" you know what I meant and attack me for it. I think you owe ME an apology.)

(Glad to see you stand up for what you do in witnessing for Christ.)

I agree it could have been a little clearer,it still says what I wanted it to but you might have to think for a minute on the questions. But it was my second try on it and I spent half an hour on it total.

In answer to the second question, where else could I get info from ths many Baptists? Even if it is difficult to pin many of them down on what they do or dont do for Christ. [IMG]

(I give them to everyone if im passing them out. It says that one sows, another waters, and God gives the increase. You may be just sowing the seed for someone else to reap.)

In our young friend's mind I am certainly a lazy, low count, good for nothing, sorry excuse for a missionary. I never street preach, rarely go door knocking, and don't pass out tracts very often.

I am probably not even saved.

Where did I say that? This is between you and God.
I think that that is what God called us to do,but I know missionarys who have been on the field for years and havnt saved anyone yet. If you are in China it would be hard to streetpreach or doorknock. I dont know what the rules are in Ireland on this, you could be putting your life on the line to do it. I know several missionarys in Ireland that pass out tracks and doorknock, but this is between you and God.

So, let me get this straight: In Thumper's mind, if you're not streetpreaching or doorknocking, you're hiding behind a sanctimonious statement. Hmmm. Considering that he's a translation-onlyist, is this surprising?

I'm still waiting for an apology, or at least a retraction, from Thumper. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath.

I love going on the streets! For 2, sometimes 3, hours we stand there. The ladies & children do, but the men are preaching. (My sign preaches for me). ;)

Sometimes I pull a little red wagon full of ho-made bread, along with salvation tracts, to pass out to new neighbours. [IMG]

Our '84 van is loaded with magnetic scripture signs(outside) & tracts(inside), and "preaches" everywhere we go! My yard has scripture signs on trees, the house, & fence post.(Deut 11:20)

I get a lot of witnessing in when I walk, too! Mostly to the oneness/apostolics that live all around me. I carry "Tongues have ceased" tracts.

When I go to Wal*Mart or the grocery store, I wear blouses that have words written on them. "God hates sin", "Hell is real" "Jesus is coming!" are examples. My pockets are full of tracts. Helloween is coming & I'm ready! :D

Those sase that come in junk-mail? They get sent back, with a tract. Telemarketers? heh-heh, no problemo; by the time I get done, they're ready to let me go! [IMG]

JWs & Mormons have a special packet waiting on them when they come knocking. And since the Lord gave me this 'puter via my lil'brother, I find this a GREAT tool to reach thousands more!

Granny~just trying to stay busy till He comes! [IMG]

That's pretty unrighteous and unscriptural of you to say.

I've been witnessing to my Muslim neighbor for a while now. I see the Holy Spirit working in him every day.

On Sunday, I shared my faith with some friends over for dinner.

A few months ago, I shared my faith with some non-Christian friends of a family member who died. In fact, I gave the eulogy at his funeral, and told 200 people in the room about the decedent's relationship with Jesus. To date, I've received three notes from people who attended, who let me know they've decided to accept Christ. I spent $2000 of my own money to travel to the funeral (it was out of the country) and give the eulogy, and given that my effort has brought people to the Lord, it was money well spent.

I witness as God calls me, not as some holier-than-thou KJVOist thinks I should. So before you go casting your unrighteous judgement, perhaps you should ask yourself if your conclusion might be wrong.
    </font>
(And I witness how the Bible says I should. And just because I do it and you dont do not accuse me of being "holier then thou".)
