I didn't call you "holier than thou" because you witness as you feel the Bible says you should. I called you "holier than thou" because you said of me:

"Typical dodge by someone who doesnt (sic) want to go witness."

So, let me get this straight: In Thumper's mind, if you're not streetpreaching or doorknocking, you're hiding behind a sanctimonious statement. Hmmm. Considering that he's a translation-onlyist, is this surprising?

I'm still waiting for an apology, or at least a retraction, from Thumper. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath. [/QB]</font>
Funny how you can twist words to say what you want to. It is difficult for people with health problems to do physical witnessing.Or you might have a job that gets in the way. But if you have the time why shouldnt you?
And define "translation-onlyist"?

Where did I say that? This is between you and God.
I think that that is what God called us to do,but I know missionarys who have been on the field for years and havnt saved anyone yet. If you are in China it would be hard to streetpreach or doorknock. I dont know what the rules are in Ireland on this, you could be putting your life on the line to do it. I know several missionarys in Ireland that pass out tracks and doorknock,but this is between you and God.
</font>
He has never heard of the IRA or how the catholics treat people over there. Unless of course your in Nothern Ireland.

I too know of missionaries here who door knock and street preach, etc. I am grateful for their witness and their methods.

We door some of that, most of our witnessing is personal outreach to people who know me and have learned to trust what I have to say. My greatest joy is sitting over a cup of tea nad sharing the glorious gospel with a dear friend.

If that is truly the case why is this posted in the versions forum?

If you like I can move it to another forum for you.
</font>
Because it was the only place I could think it should be. Where should it have been?
</font>
If this is TRULY a witnessing thread I am going to move it to the missiona/evangalism/witnessing thread.

The ones I know of are in Ulster. And like I said,if you gave up your life here to go over and be a missionary to them. I am not going to disagree with your methods. I dont know if they are right or not,but im not where you are.

I kind of thought Ulster - Northern Ireland is a different country, literally.

I have no problem with those methods. I have and do use them, but thay are NOT a measure of a man's spirituality.
