I meant the oldest kid would assume control of the household while mom brings the kid in for care. It happened to me, all the time. Several times I had to watch my brothers & sisters while some emergency took place.

Makes sense, we have had to too.
It is a good way of teaching responsibility.

As far as what I said about starting a cult it was a joke like the ones you made in this thread that have been misunderstood or taken as fact. I have the right to say whatever I want to. You have taken that liberty to a place that I do not understand but you are welcome to do so as well.

I do not question your salvation I just don't see how some of the language works in a setting such as this. I do not base my decisions based on a board that I just joined a few days ago. I do not follow posters. I did find offense that you would joke about God showing someone how to use a c*ndom. Am I the only one who thinks that ? Could you really hear the angels in heaven rejoice in heaven that you suggest that a holy God would engage in such an act.

It is not about you heathens and us holy people. It is about keeping our speech in place that is acceptable to God and visitors on the board. What if the Michelle Duggar read that. Do think she would find it funny. Despite your opinions it would hurt her. I do not question if you are a real Christian for doing this I just question if this is REAL Christian.

May I dare say that alot of what was written in heresay and accusation about the Duggars should be private and that maybe you should PM it to them so they can post here and defend the slander and gossip you have written about there family.

Well first off I do not know if we should question what God forgot to do, I do not know if we should ask if she knows what one is. That is none of my concern. The joke about the cult was simply to state that I would go to any lenghts to help my kids. What was the statement of your joke, I still am unsure.

If they read the things posted here I think it would deeply hurt them and maybe anger them but I do not think it would provoke them to consider the choices they make because I do not think anyone would listen to it in some of the ways it has been said on this board. I think it would most likely reaffirm the decisions they have made as far as who the children associate with.

I know you are new to this board but if you read ANY of my posts aside from the two quotes you chose to pick out, you would know. It is concerning the welfare of children, as you state your post was. It was a joke, God doesn't forget.

The majority of posts are fine, so I doubt they would ignore all of the posters due to the words of a few. I can't see comparing condom use with regards to a woman with 17 children worse than starting a cult in the name of your child.

Example: Just because Bro Curtis used that *word* to describe children born to unwed parent's, doesn't mean his other posts (or that particular post) is devoid of solid biblical teaching. His posts are often thought provoking, even though we don't agree on every aspect.

Even the self-riighteous posters may have sound biblical advice contained in their posts so I don't discount others views that easily.

I believe someone mentioned if you use a controversial word on the public forums, it can provoke inappropriate add pop ups. It doesn't need to be a bad word. I like to soften any word that might be offensive to others.
Anyone know if this --> * <--- helps avoid certain pop up adds?

Thank you for trying to help someone new like me. My opinion is simply that. I am not trying to be holier than anyone here. It puzzles me that I can tell some one a conviction I have and instead of saying Praise God that you have that setteled they say I am trying to be holier than them. (example to make point,not what anyone here did, to clarify).

I really don't think it should be this way. Our convictions should inspire others to look at there own sometimes. That has happened to me so many times. Instead of saying that I am trying to be better maybe you could ask yourself this. If I met The Duggar's would I be able to say all I said to them here in front of them. Not to judge you Joe or anyone else. But just as a question that is up for debate which is what I thought this board was about.

You put my joke in the same category as yours, so be it you have the right to do so. I will cut you some slack and say that yes some of the questions about the family came to mind before I read this and new ones as I read. I just did'nt always think the tone or harshness was always nice or something we would like others to do if our lives were so transparent to the world.

It probably avoids the pop-up ads, but it does nothing to soften the word... which is a term considered to be in the vice category. Threads with any connotation of sexual content are not supposed to be in public forums .
