    Ken H,

I believe that Calvinists know enough of the true Gospel to be saved, and I also believe that said view has aspects of errors in it.

For example, look what a controversy has been stirred up by merely saying that our God is the God of justice. Because it does not fit into the above dogma, people get upset.

    Ken H,

Jesus did all that He could do on the Cross for sinners. Now He makes sinners responsible for their destiny. They have to do all they can to be saved. This we say requires faith in the Christ of the Cross.

I see you have taken Brother Bill's position that Calvinists should keep their doctrine to themselves, sit in the corner, and shut up, and let the God-fearing, Bible knowledgeable Arminians do all of the speaking.

That's not controversial at all. God is the God of justice. What is controversial is when someone says something like, "If God did not give the same grace to everyone, He would not be a God of justice."

A weak and pitiful creator God; stand back here comes the mighty and noble creation, he shall complete thy work!!! :(

If I believed this I would be very [IMG] to tell others of a God not able to save them to the uttermost, unless they overcome their sinful desires in the flesh. [IMG] I am embarrassed to tell others of such a weak creator as you speak of. I want them to know that when the true and Living God gets a hold of them they will know of a surety because He is that surety.

Why? Oh Why? can we not just let the Holy Spirit call whom He will and hold them in the church and not employ manmade doctrine and tactics to 'catch' em and then to 'hold' em.

</font>[/QUOTE]What eternal profit does your doctrine hold that our does not? Are you getting a bigger mansion if your right? Do you get the joy of singing, "na na na boo boo, we were right and you were wrong" to all of the Arminians in heaven? Really, what do you gain by telling people that they may or may not be loved by God. Or that they really can't do anything that will affect their eternity for it is sealed already. We know from history the effect that this kind of doctrine can have on some weak minded men, but what profit do they gain if they do handle the doctrine properly? Does God give Calvinists a sticker to wear in heaven that says, "I understood soteriology better than you." ??? [IMG]

You can fathom all mysteries and have not love and it is worth nothing and it will gain you nothing.

I know Calvinist hate it when Arminians say its about love, but who cares what you think.

    IT IS ABOUT LOVE! [IMG]

    Bro. Bill,

You were a Calvinist, nay you are a child of God and thus you know many of the docrine taught in God's word are for the edification of the children of God, even the church.

Thus, it is not the game plan that we, as Calvinists, pick and choose any to share the Gospel with. Rather, we gladly proclaim it and let the Spirit bring forth the increase where He will.

This is what bothers Armenians, it is as if you guys fear that God is asleep and that He may miss calling one of his elect sheep. Fear not brother, fear not.

If a man cannot come to Christ except the Father draw him, then let that be, let the Father draw him, He shall, for not one of His elect shall be left undone, else Christ has failed to satisfy and thus not one beleiver is redeemed.

    God Bless.

    Actually it's about pride.

It's about love, but who cares what you think? ROFL!!! That would be a great arminian signature, and it matches the subject of this thread so well....

    Brother Dallas,

We agree with the fact of the ministry of the Spirit prior to salvation.

Since you like to preach why not preach the truth that God died and cared for every human being under His sun and Son. Within the next year you might preach from I John 2:2 and try preaching about the whole counsel of God.

Can you exegete I John 2:2? Most Calvinistic expositiors that I have read conveniently pass over it, you know, like God allegedly 'passes by the non-elect.'

This is why I suggested the effects of Calvinism as the last debate topic. Now we'll just have to see if any Arminian cares to defend their horrid distortion of Calvinism and evangelism in a real debate or not. ;)

Well, just because we can see what it did to you doesn't mean that will happen to everyone.
