So was Rahab saved by her lies or her faith ?

Could God have protected the spies without the lie ?

So how do we KNOW when it's OK to lie ?

And P & S can answer if he "loves" or would "love" a guy trying to break into his house.

And I certainly don't see any approval from God, concerning Rahab's lies. Not in Hebrews, or in James. Where is God's approval ?

Your selfish ambition to exalt yourself above others that is causing strife.

    Hebrews 11:31
By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

There is no approval of her lie in that verse, in fact it agrees with me, that Rahab was saved by her faith.

Love overcomes all, not Smith and Wesson. You always bring the example of "what if a guy breaks in your house?" It is the classic excuse to kill and feel righteous about it, but it never is. "Bless your enemies", "we do not war against flesh and blood", "if a robber steals your coat give him your cloak as well". This is called forgivness. If Jesus is in you, He will protect. His spirit will come on so strong the aggressor will be in tears and you'll end up talking with him about the gospel. Nothing is impossible for those that believe. You have not experienced much spiritually nor have you been tested, as your posts have expressed. I hope you take Jesus seriously.

So, if the hypothetical robber breaks in your house and you stand there telling him that you forgive him and he still continues to steal your things, pistol whip you, and then shoot your wife who walked around the corner and surprised him will it be your fault for not having enough faith in God?

I do not live in the "hypothetical", I abide in Christ and He in me. He will tell me what to do in any and every situation, I trust Him alone.

Ah, the liberal favorite Jesus quotes. Taken out of context, no history involved. And the verse doesn't say "robber". The original Greek talks of a court, where the coat is awarded, after a lawsuit. You seem to have written your own bible. I don't see the word "robber" in any of the gospels, from Christ's sermon on the plain.

Do you think the dude who made his 5 talents 10 talents did that by giving everything away?

You know nothing about any of my tests, that I can promise you.

Moses must have never got that memo. Jesus neither for that matter. He stood up to tyrants falsely acting as "God's ministers".

For someone who claims to respect law, you surely have no problem breaking the rules here by calling others names.

Don't worry. You evidently have a friend in high places around here. You not only call others names at will, but you come across as obnoxious and rude, yet nothing is done about it.

Let's forgive him, he needs more Jesus and revelation of the King of Kings.
