    Particularly for Pete and BenW:-

Play commenced at Old Trafford 25 minutes ago. England won the toss and elected to bat. Trescothick and Strauss are at the crease with McGrath and Lee bowling so far for the Aussies. England 18 for 0.

Will try to keep you updated - any guesses as to whose Test it is this time?

Hmmm...not so good: Strauss has just been bowled by McGrath; it doesn't bode well if one of our two openers can only manage 6 runs before being bowled out. 28 for 1.

I heard a joke on the radio recently that England would win at Ashes only when Camilla Parker Bowles [IMG]

    93 for 1 - not too bad.

I actually support England in cricket.

I don't take much notice of the cricket.....but anyways at the risk of deportation.....GO THE POMS!!

I think this Aussie side has had things too good for too long, and we can't have them getting swelled heads [IMG]

Warnie's goings on doesn't impress me much either. If I wanted to hear long gory stories like that I'ld drive more shifts in the cab ;)

167 for 2. Trescothick's just gone - bowled by Shane Warne (whose...ahem...extra-curricular activities haven't impaired his bowling skills obviously). Michael Vaughan's still there and, as J.A.B. has just said, we haven't put Freddie or Pieterson in yet...

Looking good: 275 for 2 just after Tea; Vaughan's still there on 156!

I know! Two days to go....!

BTW, to be fair to Warne, I should have pointed out that it was his 600th wicket when he bowled Trescothick

    Roll on to Trent Bridge!
