The ASV is in print again in case anyone is
interested. You can buy it from:
    http://starbible.com.

    Does anyone still use it?

I used it a number of years ago for a short time. Also you can download a free version from e-sword. www.e-sword.net.

I do comparison with it (I have it on ONLINE BIBLE) but that's about all I use it for. I won't be buying it since I already have it for free :D

The ASV was wonderful, but it suffers from age in the same manner as the KJV. Why print the ASV when we have the RSV, NASB and ESV?

Good question Chris. Some people believe that it
is more literal than any other translation out
there. F. F. Bruce always used it or the RV as
a "base" translation when he was doing exegesis.
I think it is good that it is back in print and
hope it will stay that way for many years. But
it is arcahic and I do not think I would use it
from the pulpit. The ESV is best for that in
my opinion, with some others coming in fast
    behind it.
