Al Khalifa said that at the very least, Iran is attempting to gain the ability to produce nuclear weaponry.
The statement would make Bahrain the first Arab nation in the Persian Gulf to claim that Iran is attempting to deceive world leaders in relation to its aspirations. Al Khalifa warned that the crisis could worsen and draw the region into military conflict. For this reason, he said, it must be resolved by diplomatic means.

How convenient - a story in an Israeli newspaper quoting a Bush administration ally.

However, even Mr. Al Khalifa didn't buy into the warmongering scheme. He only endorsed diplomatic means.

The warmongerers will have to find someone else to endorse their violent agenda.

Maybe even throw in a couple forged documents for good measure. Hey, it worked like a charm the last time around.

They will. This administration is intent on going to war with Iran, just like they were with Iraq.

Like Yogi Berra said, "It's like déjà vu all over again."

There has never been any real doubt about it.

Only among thinking people who have not bought into the neo-con line.

You mean non-thinking people who refuse to see a real threat where there is one.

Fine, carpro. Let's see your proof. If you can provide rock solid evidence I will change my mind.

    If I've said it once...

We don't need no steenking evidence. Propaganda, that is all we need. Shucks, we don't even need no steenking declaration of war anymore either! The president's word alone is good enough now. All is as it should be in the fanciful land of the frightened and coerced and the home of the apathetic.

Since your opinion is so strongly held, let's see your proof that they don't intend to develope nuclear weapons from their energy program. If you can provide rock solid proof, I will also change my mind.

It is impossible to prove a negative. I think you know that.

That is why the responsibility for proof is on your side.

You're being disingenious, it's just as impossible to prove intent as it is lack of it when secrecy is the order of the day.

But we do have Iran's history to go on. They never honor treaties. They dont hesitate to lie about anything at any time. They've threatened to destroy Israel. I believe they mean it. They want to be BMOC in the middle east. They're ruled by fanatics that support terrorism and foment unrest all over the middle east.

It is my opinion based on their history that they are making every effort to produce nuclear weapons. It is your opinion they are not. I believe you are a fool. You most likely think I am, too.

But it is extremely lucky for fools like you that there are fools like me.

    IMHO:wavey:

Yes, we do. How many countries has Iran invaded since George W. Bush became president? Now, how many countries has George W. Bush ordered the invasion of since he became president?

Several, there are reports of Iranian weapons & supplies being used in several uprisings around the world. Iran is a terrorist funding nation, and their influence is felt in several nations. They may or may not supply troops, but they do supply weapons & support.

Two. With full bi-partisain support in both.

Specious reasoning regardless of the answer.

It has nothing to do with their intent to produce nuclear weapons.

But it does raise a question. Why would they invade anyone when they have nuclear weapons? All they have to do is provide the nuclear weapons to the terrorist organizations they support. They could set off a couple in the US and we could stomp impotently around, bury our 500,000 dead, and never be able to prove where it came from.

Based on what they pronounce publicly, the chances they would do that to Israel, if they get the chance, are just about 100%.
