I hope this ends the feud. Trump has plenty of feuds to tend to, so one less is a good thing. Seems like Bannon went pretty far. Seems regretful, sincere.

STEVE BANNON Releases FULL STATEMENT on “Fire and Fury” – Defends Don Jr. – Regrets Delay in Issuing Statement

Former Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon issued a statement Sunday on the “Fire and Fury” controversy that dominated the liberal mainstream media for the last week.

Steve Bannon defended Donald Trump Jr. and said he regrets the delay on issuing a statement on the controversy.

    Steve Bannon released this statement:

Jack Posobiec posted the statement moments ago.

Here are a couple of important points from the statement:

“Donald Trump, Jr. is both a patriot and a good man. He has been relentless in his advocacy for his father and the agenda that has helped turn our country around.”

“My support is also unwavering for the president and his agenda — as I have shown daily in my national radio broadcasts, on the pages of Breitbart News and in speeches and appearances from Tokyo and Hong Kong to Arizona and Alabama.”

“President Trump was the only candidate that could have taken on and defeated the Clinton apparatus. I am the only person to date to conduct a global effort to preach the message of Trump and Trumpism; and remain ready to stand in the breech for this president’s efforts to make America great again.”

This was a smart move for Steve Bannon.
Everyone knew the comments in “Fire and Fury” were taken out of context. And everyone knows Donald Trump Jr. is a patriot. The statement was clear, not too soft and keeps Steve Bannon in place as a top voice for the #MAGA movement.

I had a feeling things would end this way. I hope that this quickly passes so that we can get that wall built and deportation buses rolling.

Crawling on his knees to Trump Tower — ala Henry II doing penance at Canterbury.

Bannon was fired for leaking. His comments in the book were personal attacks on a president's children or family.

Conclusion: Bannon committed political suicide. Breitbart should fire him.

Am I the only one seeing the irony here?

Bannon says: "Donald Trump is a patriot and a great man."
Trump: "Bannon has lost his mind."

Bannon actually said that about Don Jr, but after he referred to him as "treasonous". He also told that leftist writer that Ivanka was dumb as a brick and gave the guy full access to the WH even knowing what he was. Yes, this whole Bannon thing is kind of amusing but when Trump started calling him "Sloppy Steve", I knew he was done with Trump and that glitchy website.

Heard some rumors that Bannon had a drinking problem which is escalating, he needs to pull himself together and salvage his life, seems on a downward self-destructive spiral. He never denied saying all those things to Wolff because he knew Wolff had him on tape.

    Who's Bannon?

He's never really been much of a factor on the political scene, but he did a heck of a job making Breitbart a news source to be reckoned with. The main benefit of Trump having him around is that he drove the left crazy.

Brietbart let him go. One should not attack the President's family. Bannon was too big for his britches.
