Baptism gift

    My wife is being baptized on Sunday and I was thinking of getting her a personalized Bible or something like that is it generally acceptable to give somebody something after their baptism or is that pretty much there gift

    Giving gifts to someone that is baptized is not a standard practice, but I think giving a personalized Bible to your wife is great. It will be a tool for her to use in her walk with Christ. Who could think anything was wrong with that?

    A personalized Bible would be nice as would be a necklace with the birthstone of the month she was baptized in. :) A woman always loves jewelry!

    A personalized, higher end Bible would be very thoughtful. Something from actual leather with quality paper and such. That is thoughtful of you.

    +1, you might want to check with your church first. A number of churches that I've been in gift a bible when someone gets baptized. If your church does that it might be nice to give a nice cross necklace or charm bracelet from James Avery or something.
