I'm looking for opinions on the Baptist College of America in Kokomo, Indiana? I enrolled to finish my college classes there in 2001 by correspondence. I had to put that idea on hold. The more I read about them, the more I believe they are nothing more than a Hyles cloned school? Anyone else have any deeper knowledge of the situation there?

    Not familiar with the school, but the church is radically TRO/KJVO and a 'college' that is questionable.

    Just looking at their pastor/faculty tells me to run, don't walk, the other way.

    Would like to hear if anyone has first-hand info, as mine is just reading their website.

    Thank you for that imput, Dr. Bob. That's what I was thinking when I asked them about the course renderings. I was told I would have to read several of Jack Hyles books as part of my studies, and though I've had his books in my library for quite some time, I would not recommend the study of much if anything that Hyles has stated. I was told by the present college administration back last January that they believed Hyles to be one of the greatest fundamentalist leaders of our time. I asked then to be put on hold, partially because of that, and partly because of my constant trips to GA for my mother in laws constant hospitalizations from congestive heart failure. I never did receive the materials they were to send, and never did receive a bill until this month. I guess I'm going to have to just tell them "No Thank you". Could you suggest another correspondence school that isn't highly expensive where one could get a decent education and an accredited degree?

    </font>
Again opinion. Have you gone to colege or ever written a term paper? Didn't your teachers teach you to document instead of plagiarize or just have opinions?

    So give us some accurate documentation to support your findings if you have any or just state that it is your opinion.

You still haven't told me how they are different. What are the differences? Spelled D - I - F - F - E - R - E - N - C - E - S.

    </font>
Nope--you're mistaken. You don't have to say, "This is my opinion." That is trite and unscholarly. I always mark off for such sophomoric composition. Furthermore, plagiarism is taking credit for someone else’s work or ideas, not failing to document. Documentation is more than just attributing content to your sources. It has to do with the quality and reliability of your sources and information. Of course, there are things that are general knowledge for which you don’t have to give credit or document. On the other hand, general knowledge varies with your audience. In dealing with the less well-informed and perceptive, one must document and define more, I suppose. BTW, where did you attend college? :D
