    SBC brethren, is anyone aware of any state conventions sending groups to Indonesia to provide relief for disaster victims?

    Thanks. I'll check that out. I have no problem with Saddleback. PDL is a great book!

    Thanks, Saggy. I also had some luck with the North Carolina state convention. A close friend of mine feels called to serve on a short term mission trip to help the Tsunami victims and asked me to look into it.

    I am pretty sure the Baptist Union in Indonesia would be gratefully for all the help they can get!

    Interestingly Adrian Rogers has his show on the Radio in Indonesia the worlds most populas muslim country which is quite an achievement!

    I got this back from the IMB this weekend:

    Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time and talents to
    address the needs of those impacted by the tsunami disaster. We have
    personnel assessing the needs on the ground and are working with our SBC
    Disaster Relief specialists to determine medical, construction, food
    distribution and general clean up needs so that we can organize our
    efforts to utilize volunteers like you.

    Currently, we are gathering information on those who are willing to
    volunteer their time and energies in this effort. It would help us
    greatly for you to send us the following information.

    * Name of interested Volunteer(s)

    * Address

    * Email(s)

    * Phone Number(s)

    * Date(s) and Length of Time Availability

    * Expertise

    * Are you trained in Disaster Recovery?

    We are trying to keep our partners in the loop as much as possible. At
    this point our www.imb.org Web site is the best source of information.
    This Web site will hopefully inform our churches and partners of the
    information they need, as well as direct those who want to give of their
    time and financial resources.

    Thank you again for your patience and willingness to serve as we assess,
    coordinate and execute His plan for the people of South Asia and the
    Pacific Rim.
