Brother Emmanuel Jaggernauth died suddenly while in church on January 15, 2009. It is assumed that he died of a heart attack.

He was a missionary to island of St. John, US Virgin Islands, and pastor of the Cruz Bay (St. John) Baptist Church.

Please pray for his dear wife and family and for God's work there on St. John.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Some of you may have had the opportunity to visit the Virgin Islands. Saint John island is the smallest of the three main USVI, and most of it is taken up by a US National Park.

While the sights there are spectacular and almost defy description, most of the people on the island are very, very poor in earthly goods and money. Most of them are employed in the tourist/travel-related industry, and now with an already faltering economy on the mainland(s), that industry has pretty much tanked.

Brother Jaggernauth and his family have been faithful servants of our Lord in that location for decades, and they lived in what most of us would call poverty conditions just as most of the members of Cruz Bay BC did.

Please remember these precious folks in your prayers.
