I tried to answer more than one, but it wouldn't let me. I believe that all but "is up to the individual" is correct. It is immoral, against Biblical teaching, and God WILL judge and condemn it along with all other sins.

While it is our decision to sin or not to sin, that doesn't change the fact that homosexuality IS sin and condemned in God's word. God can save ANYONE from ANY sin or sins, but that does not mean that we can live in sin (like homosexuality, adultery, or any sin you can name).

The sin will be condemned, and the sinner will be condemned. I do not believe it is possible for a saved person to habitually live IN sin and believe it to be OK. Anyone who is saved WILL be convicted by the Holy Spirit and WILL be miserable until they repent and turn from that sin--whatever it is.

The word "gay" means joyful and happy (or used to anyway). How many born again Christians are joyful and happy living in sin? Whether it be homosexuality, adultery, habitual lying, stealing from their employer, getting drunk and beating their wife and/or kids, coveting the neighbor's wife, or whatever, they will NOT be joyful and happy; they will be miserable and unhappy. While we might occasionally commit a sin as born again Christians, we CANNOT live IN sin without being convicted and miserable. We will also be convicted of that occasional sin. Just thinking about sinning causes the Holy Spirit to convict me in an effort to stop me BEFORE I commit that sin.

Would you inlcude the 7 deadly sins, i.e.:

    Gluttony
    Lust
    Greed
    Sloth
    Wrath
    Envy
    Pride

Surely gluttony is the favorite sin in the USA.

Sorry, but this leaves out the issue of lust and one's thought life--Jesus mentioned it; it must be important.

Homosexuality is just like any other sin... it is a conscious choice made by the perpetrator. No one is born "gay", nor does one "fall" into it. It is a sin and an abomination before the Lord. There is no justifying it, no excusing it, and no hiding from the judgment that will fall upon it.

And you can use that if you so choose.

And so, maybe instead of changing the topic here, a gluttony thread could be started...or a "favorite sin in the USA" thread.

But back to the OP...not sure how anyone who claims to believe the Bible could argue anything other than what is plainly set forth in Scripture.
