Baseball Teams we Love to Hate

    Okay, I've raised enough stinko with the Football question, so turn it to baseball.

    There are teams I don't know, but just don't like. I will root against them and for their opponent to matter what.

    Everybody hates a winner that prances and struts its stuff. Everybody hates the rich buy-a-championship team. Most everyone hates the BIG city, big market teams.

    So who do YOU "hate"?

    American League Evil teams that deserve my hatred:
    Yankees (of course)
    Boston (although there is strange sympathy for these losers)

    National League:
    Atlanta
    Philadelphia
    Mets
    Dodgers
    Arizona

    Just wish they'd get rid of Montreal and not split seasons in Puerto Rico or dangle them in front of Washington.

    They shoot horse, don't they?

    Love baseball, the players move too much so I watch players I like. However there is one team I am rooting for this year Atlanta Braves, love Bobby Cox. Will one say end up in the hall of fame as a manager. Chipper (anyone know his name without looking it up), Andruw, JD and of course Smoltz

    Chicago has major league baseball? I did not know that . . . :rolleyes:

    Pretty soon they'll want NFL football, too. :eek:

    I follow baseball even less than I follow football but I do follow it enough that I know I can't stand those stinkin filthy arrogant evil rich worthless Yankees ;) . Other than enjoying anytime the Yankees lose, I don't care much about baseball.

    Joseph and I agree for once...I think baseball is pretty boring too...other than when the Yankees are losing that is.

    Did I mention I love to hate the Yankees?

    Baseball is great because you can be the smallest guy around and still play at the highest level. Not many sports can say that. Golf used to be like this, but with all the advancements in equipment it has become a game of the long hitter. Narrow the fairways and the shorter more accurate hitters rise to the top of the leader board.

    Pete, do you not like the Yankees or something I kind of sense that you have something against them. They aren't that bad, its not like they are the cubbies or anything like that.

    Now if you didn't like teams that wear blue and white, have a bear as their mascot, play in a stadium named after some chewing gum, have a long ball hitter who got caught with a corked bat, will choke every year, and havn't been to a World Series since 1945 or won since 1908 then I could understand your position.

    When is the last time the Yankess won the series? In fact teams with smaller budgets then the Yankees have won. What they buy is being able to compete year after year.
    BTW it was 4 years ago not counting this year.

    Can't stand the New York 'Stankees'.

    Of course, my O's get a black eye due to Angelos (current owner). I hope they decide to put an NL team in RFK Stadium in DC. They are suppose to make an announcement regarding a DC team today. I would travel the extra minutes to watch NL baseball.
