    Would have to go with Jethro. He was presented as without any education and obviously very ignorant. But he was ambitious :)

    Of course Gomer did run a gas station, but he most likely had a good education and was still, well Gomer :)

    Gilligan is first on my list. After all, his heart is always in the right place. He's just kind of clumsy.

    Next would be Gomer. He's not real bright, but at least he works a normal job. He cares about others.

    Last comes Jethro. He's living off the charity of his rich uncle and has never worked a real job. He also gets distractred easily by pretty women. Hmm. Maybe he would make a perfect politician.

    Lets look at the facts! Jethro gets 50 cents a week allowance for the many chores around the mansion.
    He is also the family chaffluer. In addition he has had a paper route and some other minor jobs.

    So are you saying that Ellie May is living off the charity of her father?
