I'm not a fundamentalist and I don't enjoy fighting, so I have no reason to go to the FFF.

It's a bit too crazy over there for me. Too much drama.

I've been there, been more then a year, maybe even two. Not even sure I still have a membership after all this time. Not even sure I remember what my id and password were. They get way too out of hand there, when I was there it seemed the was no moderators at all, some people were saying and doing somethings that would get you banned here. As rough as it gets here sometimes, it's a much more decent and tame place.

I don't go to the FFF because they banned me!!!!

Yep, wittle old me got banded from FFF. :tear:

One of the things that I was guilty of was telling them that (as a person who's got an accredited MA in History) I really enjoy learning about the Tudor and Stuart monarchs!! Shouldn't have said that I guess.

I didn't realize it was a crime to have studied 16th & 17th century British history, but apparently it's a Class A felony.

When I asked them what Bible principle I'd violated----they never responded.

I think that it may have had something to do with how they view the KJV and/or the fact that I told them that the church of which I'm a member has a plurarity of elders and is a cell-based church.

Here again, when I asked them why either or both was unscriptural------they never responded!!

This is one of the reasons I'm thankful for BB.

Yes we do have standards & I do realize that some people have been banned from BB. Why each person was banned from BB I'm not certain, but I don't think any of them were banned because they dared to express an interest about British history in the 1500's and 1600's, or that some of them who were banned didn't worship the KJV.

I have no idea what they are. It would help if people wouldn't use unfamiliar letters instead of writing out the words.

I visited the FFF once and stayed about 5 minutes. It's a shame that "fundamentalists" have to use the word "fighting" in their board's name, but I guess it's appropriate. I like it here much better. We might fight, but it's obvious we care about each other.

I quit right before, when I posted that believers are not bound by the law an admin posted that I 'misused Scripture to satisfy my fleshly lusts.'

It's stuff like that, that makes me shy away from even using the word "fundamentalist" to describe myself. I think there's a difference between legalists and fundies, but I'm not sure if many folks know the difference.

The FFF is definitely caveman territory. I visit and poke around about once a month. Some of the threads about goings on at various schools are interesting, but even those cqan be full of idle gossip. I registered there years ago but I don't remember what my ID or password is and I have not signed in in years.

For more intelligent discussions, try SharperIron, although the naval gazing among fundamentalists can lead to redundant conversations. I'd say the level of education of the posters there is pretty high and the standards for unpoliced politeness are superior.
