I have purposely stayed away from the blatant balderdash from the blighted baptists (very small "b") on this board. Now I see the moderators have done it again by banning Herb Evans. Reading the posts on here helps one understand Matt. 7:21-23. "Fundamentalist"....most of the people on this thread don't even know what a Baptist is. I guess I am like a fish out of water on here because I am an Independent Fundamental King James Bible Believing Born Again Baptist. I don't smoke, drink alcohol, dance or smoke dope. I go to church three times a week with my family. We tithe to our local church. Our eight kids and their families are all in Ind. Fund. Baptists churches in this country and Iceland as missionaries. But why tell you this, Herb Evans is the same way and you banned him. :wavey:

    Hi Shiloh,

Thanks for your "blatant balderdash from the blighted baptists" bashing.

Replace the letter "c" in Iceland with an "r" and the number "eight" with "six"and I can same the exact same thing !!

I never would have guessed we are so close - so we must be two fish out of water. Ain't God lucky to have guys like us!

If you don't like the administration policies of the board, you should PM the moderators/administrators. They typically frown upon open-air attacks like this.

If you feel that the BB is such an awful place, why are you posting here? We have a wide variety of Baptist perspectives. If you cannot accept that, why do you want to participate?

I am asking these things because you might find yourself in a similar situation as Herb Evans. I'm not a moderator, nor have I ever been, but I have seen this time and again. When these things happen, banning follows. I beg of you; if you wish to stay, follow the proper channels.

As I am sitting here thinking about the OP I just cannot get over the fact that someone would say that. My goodness.....part of me is laughing because it sounds so silly, like its a joke. Another part of me shudders that someone would actually take the place of the Pharisee in that parable using modern language. Shiloh, do you realize what you just said? DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU JUST SAID??! My goodness! I need to get over this.....it just comes as such a SHOCK that someone would lash out like that.....3 TIMES A WEEK!!! DOES THAT INCLUDE DINNER ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!!! MAN!

Alright....sorry, I need to deal with this that there are people like that. I'll be praying for you Shiloh.......pray for me too. (because I only go 1 time per week, but that doesn't include meals and studies outside of church  )

WOW. I go to church 6 or 7 days a week - for hours at a time. I'm so good!

Oops, I use the NKJV for preaching, and all kinds of translations for study. And I only have 4 kids. I guess I'm not that good after all.

I guess I should take the OP more seriously, but I just can't.

Herb may be the same way...

...but if you're an Independent Fundamental King James Bible Believing Born Again Baptist that doesn't smoke, drink alcohol, dance or smoke dope, and goes to church three times a week with your family...

...and you're rude and abusive to moderators and others on the BB...

    ...you get banned.

Clarify James, who is the one in the gate? What is the upright speech that is being spoke? What is it that makes it upright?

Anyone who thinks that a SBC christian cannot also be fundamental, does not know what they are talking about. I am an SBC pastor and hold to all the fundamentals of the Christian faith without compromise.

No wonder there are those of us that hold to the fundamentals that shudder when someone calls us a "fundamentalist" It is people like the OP that gives Good ol fashioned fundamentalists a bad name.

I guess I am only half the Christian Shiloh is... I only have 3 kids.
I am sick of being put down because I use other versions of the Bible from "real" fundamentalists...

I thank God that I serve Him, and not Shiloh.

One of these days those like Shiloh that fight windmills will find themselves under the windmill.

    Hi, Shiloh...

I think you and I talked the last time you were here.

I'm glad you hold to not smoking, drinking, dancing, or using drugs. I don't either....(well, I do dance around in my living room sometimes for exercise) But I also know that avoiding those things is not what makes me saved.

You should thank God everyday that everyone in your family is actively involved in church and missions. There are people on this board in sore grief because of family members who are unsaved.

I don't know why Herb Evans was banned. He was very rude, but then again, I have been very rude on this forum and so have many others.

He was definitely not banned because of his belief that women who wore pants were whores and encouraged lesbianism. You can pretty much believe anything you want on this board and remain a member.

He must have been banned due to a conflict with a moderator. That's a big no-no around here.

I think you have struck a nerve here due to the fact that your use of the scripture, Matthew 7:21-22, implies that people who do not hold to your's and Herb's standard of behavior are not saved.

That's a hard pill to swallow and untrue.

Please don't go away angry. Stay and talk to us a while, not at us. :1_grouphug:

Now, James....that was just downright uncalled for. Come back from your lunch and rethink just how harsh your implication is.
