    One day a dairy farmer got up earlier than normal to milk his cow, named Bess. It was still dark and Bess was still asleep. When he started, Bess awoke, startled. She turned her head around, saw the farmer, and said, “Thank heavens it’s you! I thought I was being robbed!”
