Might we also add that the good Doctor is very humble when it comes to this issue, but greatly needs our prayers due to the immense pain. He suffers more in a day than most of us ever do. The Doctor is one person I pray for each day and will always be very close to my heart due to his unselfish guidance as I struggled to become a moderator. He really does have a huge heart given to him by a God who will greatly reward him some day.

Dr. Bob suffers from Peripheral Neuropathy. The symptoms can include numbness, burning pain (yes, I know, that sounds like a contradiction, but it is not - a common complaint of neuropathy patients is "How can something so numb hurt so bad?"), muscle wasting, and even paralysis. The causes are many but the most common is diabetes followed by injury, tumors, toxins, and autoimmune disease.

Yes peripheral neuropathy is a tough one. There are few medications which help the pain significantly. Neuropathic pain is fairly resistant to most pain pills - even the strong narcotics.

I also pray for YOUR ailment to be healed , DC.

And I still thank everyone who prayed for my wife after her December, 2000 accident. We truly saw a miracle in her survival and subsequent recovery.

WE all have the knowledge that our various infirmaries are temporary, that when His time comes, JESUS will give each of us a new, invulnerable body that can never deterioriate nor feel pain.

Sorry to get off-topic, but I see no harm in praying for God to care for our brethren who have physical probs.

Since we're already "off topic" I have to tell you that my message this morning dealt, in part, with this very issue.
Php 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
