    With the passing of Donna Douglas, of the major characters, only Max Baer (age 77 ) remains.
    The last episode aired on 23 Mar 1971.
    The reunion movie aired 6 Oct 81.

    We listen to a lot of old radio shows in our house. Irene Ryan was in a lot of those. Even when she was young (or, at least, younger), she always played old ladies and spinsters.

    She turns up on a lot of Jack Benny and Bob Hope shows.

    I know she was in reality a resident of Beverly Hills. In photos of her house, it looks small for that place. But it's likely that she was the type 'Granny' so often wailed about-- "spiteful city people."
